Even as a Haye fan I have to say that I don't blame WALDO for taking Chagaev at this point....sure you can make an argument that Haye faked an injury and ran scared, I don't buy that for a second. You can also make an argument that WALDO was pleased at this development and avoided Haye to take on Chagaev, I don't buy that either, simply because they both signed a contract to face each other so I don't believe either one is scared.

The simple truth is that Haye got an unfortunate injury and WALDO decided to honour the date and fight someone else and keep busy. WALDO for all his faults is a busy fighter, something he does deserve credit for. I'm sure the Haye/WALDO fight will happen at a later date providing neither of them lose. I'm pissed off it's not happening now, as I'm sure both Haye and WALDO are, but these things happen.

Read the ENTIRE argument and not just a little corner of it.

And Chagaev is a much more interesting fight ( and more deserving) than Haye.

Finally, my main point is that while I don't believe either man is ducking, there is a small chance that Haye is but zero chance that Wlad is.

If you don't understan the logic, you can't be helped.

Exactly. If anyone ducked in this situation, it's Haye. Look who's fighting June 20th against a BETTER opponent and who isn't fighting at all. That tells you all you need to know.

He is honouring a date, big deal. The date can be moved - this is far from impossible, and as you said, these things happen. In this case, i think it's more important to honour the agreement to fight, rather than a meaningless date that can be re-scheduled.

I was reponding to that one point because arguably it's one of the most important ones and it's the one i wanted to talk about.

I don't think Wlad is ducking either, in that i don't in any way think he is scared to fight Haye.

I am criticizing the decision not to postpone the fight.

Holy ****in' pale blue shyte on a shovel !!!

I've finally read a clear, cogent, reasonable post on a KLITSCHKO topic from one of the board's two greatest Klit-haters !

Are you into the sauce this evening ?

(If this isn't really Fighting Weight, I must advise you of the serious consequences of hi-jacking a members account and posting under his username.)

Seriously, I don't think too many Klitschko fans believe that Haye is ducking.

It's just indignation at the mere mention of Klitschko ducking when it's Haye who pulls out of the fight !

    GOOD POST !!

The fight was on, if they were "ducking" each other it wouldn't have been on.

    Fair enough.

I thought you were one of the ******s who accused VWlad of ducking when Haye got injured.

Changing something this set is not as easy as you might think.

I am very disappointed that the original fight won't happen, but I really believe that this substitution makes clear sense.

The RING title clinches the deal.

Haye can earn his spot again.

Hopefully by his ring-actions this time (He's done **** all of note at HW yet) as opposed to just trash-talking his way to the front of the queue.

These men really tried to make the fight happen. I think it's unfair to accuse either one. Hopefully this will just make their eventual meeting that much better ala Hagler/Hearns and their initial postponement and subsequent superfight.

Vlad was ready and we have to assume that it is a legitimate reason Haye threw away a title shot. Dates are important...cable networks have there schedules...Ruslin is ready...Hayes goes to the back and fights someone in the meantime...Ruslin had his title shelved because of an injury...Haye loses a title shot

oh, it ain't easy, it takes a bit of work, but it's do-able.

Chagaev hasn't fought at a high level for a long time. I can't see this being one to remember. Meh.

...I guess some might say Haye could try and negotiate a fight with Vitali, but I think Haye fancies his chances against Wlad more. He probably doesn't want to fight Vitali until after he's had a go at Wlad.

If you read my serious posts on WALDO and VITLAY you'll find I'm not the hater you think I am, I just respond to bull**** with bull**** at times because it amuses me...I'm sure 90% of the posters in this forum do the same if I'm honest. However in this scenario I just can't be bothered to play the hate game, what's happened has happened and what will be will be - it's neither fighters fault and neither one is a coward for doing what they've done in difficult circumstances, simple as that.

Well, I always suspected as much.

And some of the hype does get a little over the top.

I've seen lads post stuff like:

    Wlad would beat prime Ali

    Wlad better than Lennox etc.

So there are fanatics for sure.
