Wlad vs chageav, the tougher fight for wlad

I fail to see how this is a harder fight for Wlad. The recent version of Chagaev is pretty similar to Ibragimov, or a poor man's Byrd. Haye at least had a chance of knocking him out, and has enough movement to MAYBE get on the inside.

 

It's interesting how two people can watch the same thing and se different stuff. I watched Chagaev vs Valuev and saw a very slow guy fighting a slightly less slow guy. I saw a guy with limited punching power and a low work rate vs a guy who didn't feel like trying to hard.

Then, I watched Chagaev vs Ruiz and saw a fight that makes other Ruiz fights look like the Thrilla in Manilla.

 

I did see Haye get dropped by Barrett.
I saw Lewis actually win against Vitali. TKO6.

 

Chagaev may have a chin, but he does not have any tools to hurt Wlad with. Wlad is too good. Wlad will keep him at bay with a long jab, and I think knock him out in about 8 or 9 rounds.

Haye has the tools to hurt Wlad. That's what makes him interesting. Whether or not Haye could do it is another question. That's why Haye vs Wlad was an interesting match-up. Haye was an underdog, but a live one. Chagaev stands little to no chance.

 

Arreola hasn't been in the gym because he was doing other things. Wald strung him along as Haye strung Wald along and Arreola finally took another fight. According to Chef, Arreola even had an escape clause in his last fight contract in case Haye fell through. Doesn't sound like a guy that "DON"T WANT NONE!" to me.

 

i think haye's explosive style along with being a pretty good counter-puncher is what made him a threat to wlad....chagaev is just another guy wlad will beat up on imo.

 

That's the problem with Chagaev. He has no power. And Klit always wins the decisions. That is, unless he catches up with him.

Like Jennifer says, at least Haye was a live one, and could catch Klit.

 

This fight is gonna suck worse than Wlad-Sultan.

Valuev is befuddled every morning when he tries to tie his shoes.

 

You are vastly underestimating the skills of Ruslan Chagaev, he has a top amateur degree and enough experience at the championship level to compete with Wladimir. He's undefeated and has not been close to losing thus far.

I'd recommend you to ask Rob Calloway about his "mediocre" punching power before you open your ugly trap. Ruslan was a feared puncher even back in the amateurs, you simply don't know what you're talking about.

On top of this Wladimir has had trouble with a southpaw in the past, and Ruslan is an excellent left handed puncher with pop. Don't count him out just yet.


This all speaks for Wladimirs class, he's an excellent champion who would take this fight on such short notice, Chagaev was/is considered top3-4 in the heavyweight division after all.

 

Hey! My traps not that ugly...

I have watched a few Chagaev fights, and I don't see anything to suggest he has big punching power. Asking Rob Calloway about Chagaev's punching power is kind of like asking Jimmy Thunder about Chris Byrd's punching power. Maybe there's some footage out there where he really looks like "White Tyson" but I have not seen it. To me he seems like a mediocre, though fairly durable fighter that does nothing exceptional. He may very well be one of the top ranked fighters around; but he still stands no chance of beating Wlad Klitschko. You know it, I know it, Wlad Klitschko knows it... I bet even Ruslan Chagaev knows it!
