Me too, I take no notice of inbetween round footage, I tend to judge it minute by minute and best of 3 in each round,

I don't tend to score a fight live, I'll just have a general feeling of how things are going in my head. It's easy to give a 10-10 round in the moment when you are not entirely concentrating on every landed punch, defence and ring generalship. Things can just 'look' even. In that respect I can understand why judges and people might.

Having watched the footage carefully I can very rarely if ever give a 10-10 round though.

I don't score 10=10s because I havn't been paying attention or I can't be arsed scoring a round, sometimes I just don't feel theres a point inbetween what the boxers did in a particular round.

It would be the easiest the world just to pick a winner based a whether a I liked a aggression, power or counterpunching but sometimes a boxer just hasn't done enough to win a round IMHO.

I just look at it a different way. I always try to find the round one way or the other, to me there is always a guy that has landed better punches. The only times it becomes hazey are when you've got to weigh up the quality/quantity ratio. It's tough...but thats scoring, right?

There are gonna be an awful lot of 10/10's in this thread I fear...the precedent has been set :yep:p

Hey!!! I don;t think scoring 2 even rounds out of 12 in a fight like that is too bad!!!;)

Like I say, I don;t like doing but I'm not just going pick a winner for the sake of it either. Great thread though mate!!:good

It's okay, everybody has their own methods! That's the point of this thing...

There are worse fights than that for incredibly difficult rounds to split though. You might produce the first ever 120-120 scorecard...I wonder :think

i have it 2 rounds to Hagler

suppose so but i thought JMMs defence was better than Pacs offence

as fr the even round debate i never score even rounds themselves i favour the champion or if there is no champion i favour the better defence.

The only time i score even if there is a KD or a point off but i think the penalised fighter won the round

I think one of the judges of Leonard-Duran had something like 7 or 6 rounds even.
