The ironic thing is "Prime" Tyson's Heavyweight era was just as bad if not worse than this one. His best win in that period was either Holmes who had been retired for 3 years or Spinks who was a Light Heavyweight.

I am not comparing Tyson to Wlad or Vitali just the fighters that surrounded them in that time period.

i think Tyson def. had some notable wins for sure, he was great, but his competition wasn't amazing.

I don't think it's cleaver to say Tyson in his prime would beat any other primes. Styles make fights. Frazier smashes Ali,Foreman smashes Frazier and Ali smashes Foreman. That chain of logic says it all. It's possible that Tyson could bust Ali up inside, but then again he could get knocked down on the way in by a prime Foreman.

The truth is nobody ever cleaned out a division like Mike Tyson did and nobody ever will.
He was a beast like none other

The sad truth is that with about 6 months to a year of training, Tyson would STILL have a chance of at least getting another shot at the title. He would destroy Valuev today with NO training! And I'd put money on that.

Tyson's opponents between 1986-89, which was his prime, were very average. Apart from Spinks he has lost every time he has stepped up (Douglas, Holyfied, Lewis,).

He cleaned out a weak division full of tomato cans. Rahman would probably have defeated Carl Williams, Pinklon Thomas, and Bonecrusher Smith!

You can make a case that Lewis beats a prime Tyson(I disagree). But Vitali?:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

A prime Tyson smokes that stiff robot within 5. And he would smoke his chinless sister Wlad within 2.

Of course a prime Tyson would clean house today. That should be pretty obvious.

David Haye would have kept his ass at Cruiser if a prime Tyson was around.

Would you disagree if it was Prime Lewis v Prime Tyson?

Or better yet, Prime Lewis v Tyson?
