If Barrera and Morales were to settle their differences with barefists;who would win?

I've been looking back at Morales career a lot lately and I think I need to change my inital assessment of Barrera being better. Morales may have lost two of the three but he ranks SLIGHTLY higher overall. All that **** aside, Morales would edge Barerra in the greatest street fight of all time. He's got the hate, the toughness and the will to win. He'd die before he lost to MAB

Not much difference between the speed & power of Morales & Barrera no matter who you give the edge to & yes, Barrera does fight dirty, one of the reasons I cant stand the little wanker... because Morales fights clean in a ring where your SUPPOSED to fight clean doesnt mean he wont know how to do an anything goes street fight - he grew up in one of the toughest parts of Tijuana for **** sake, I doubt they put on gloves & use referee`s to settle differences on those streets.

hey bill, after reading this thread i went back and rewatched morales-pac 1. Here's why morales is quickly becoming one of my favourite fighters ever: round 1-pac runs him into the ropes and pummels him with shots. Morales immediately, as if pissed off that pac would try to hurt him, dives at pacquiao and knocks the **** out of him. round 12-way ahead in the fight, goes toe to toe with one of the best punchers in the world for three of the best minutes you'll ever see. when asked why simply states "did you like it?". yes erik, we liked it a lot. I just can't see barrera EVER beating pac. And i can't see barrera, as much as i respect him, ever doing what morales did in the 12th. Morales is a fighter and a warrior with courage that is unquestionable.

I agree, IMO it takes a special fighter to constantly be entertaining AND win consistantly at the elite p4p A+ level, Morales was certainly a special fighter, a born warrior & entertainer.
He always fought with honour, never resorted to dirty tactics even while taking a beating.
Morales > Barrera in more ways that one IMO :good
