That's lost on the Tyson loons. LL, K bros (yes even Wlad when he got past the early rounds) would beat this so short lived mythical prime Tyson. He was at or near his prime when he lost to BD. And Buster wasn't as good or big as LL & K bros. If Douglas could beat a young Tyson, so could other current and recent HWs.

The guy in your avatar was a great fighter - and for a long time. One of my all time favs.

Tyson did have some tough 12 rounds fights in this period - motivation is everything with Tyson, if Corrie Sanders can stop Wladimir in early rounds, jab and grab just isn't going to work on a Tyson with the speed and defensive head movement that prime Tyson brings to bear.

    Renyo:

You can say the exact same thing about the Klits in reverse - There's NO HW fighter they've ever faced with any near the speed and power of that period of Tyson's life, just as there were not 6'5"+ robot style European fighters in the 80's.

I'm not a hugger of Tyson's nuts, but the longer this BS HW period continues, the more the Klits are being made out to be unbeatable. Vitali has lost to the two best fighters he's fought, and Wlad has lost to three guys who are comparable to any of the 80's flotsam and jetsam that Tyson blew away.

Look how scared and tentative Wlad was when he fought aginst Ibragimov - Can you imagine how he'd fight against a prime Tyson?

I liked Tyson a lot, but I think some here underestimate Klitschkos a lot. Styles make fights and Klitschkos are wrong styles for Tyson.

i think a prime vitali gives him problems, but if ANYBODY in history could take down vitali to a KD or KO its the power of a prime Tyson.

Here we go again. Can't find a fighter to dethrone the Klits so bring out the imaginary fights. A safe world where your fighter can beat anyone in your dreams.

I doubt either Klit gets clobbered by Buster Douglas at any point but we'll never know that either.

Yeah right Douglas was miles ahead of Purrity, and no worse than both Brewster and Sanders.

and we see what an un-drugged Vlad did to Brewster. Vitali took good care of Sanders and Puritty. Vlad would knock Puritty or Sanders in rematch, but Sanders would give not rematch, Vlad tried. Brewster refused to fight Vlad until he lost his title, then Vlad easily outboxed and stopped Brewster, Brewster quit.

i am a tyson fan but i think that both vitali and wlad might be able to pull it off.

tyson was in reality a very small heavyweight and big fighter in the size of vitali, lennox and wlad can easily outmuscle tyson.

a stiff jab will always keep tyson at bay. i think the key there is to keep tyson away for you say for the first 5 rounds. tyson was not really known for his stamina but more of an overwhelming initial attack.

if you can withstand the initial barrage, just like buster did, i think you have a fairly good chance of winning.

but to brawl with tyson will be suicide. he had terrific handspeed in his youth.
