Aside from the handwrapping controversy... Margo - Cotto: Show them how even the toughest of opponents can crack and wilt under pressure. One of my own personal favorites... Yory Boy Campas - Tony Ayala Jr.: Show them the lost art of infighting. JMM - Pac I: even when you have a rough start early, just get up, dust yourself off, and keep right on fighting.
Actually none for me. There is alwasys a guy losing so showing them can be a negative in some ways ( example : he/she thinks they will be the guy getting rocked , bloodied, ko'd) He( my son) has tremendous punching power like me so all I did was take him to the local park (playgrounds) pulled out my focus mitts gave him some simple combos jab , straight right, left hook AND HE LOVES IT !! He beleives when he gets a good punch in , his opponent wont make the count
If I was explaining him or her how to pace themselves and make sure they last the 12 rounds. There is only one fight to show.. Valuev V Holyfield.
It really is a great fight to show them, though. If there ever was a fight that showed the differences between having the physical tools and the mental tools, that one is it...
I agree with Calzaghe-Lacy, that was masterful boxing. Calzaghe-Kessler is a good one too. How about Toney-Barkley? That was an amazing display of skill against size.
Byrd - Williamson (To help them get to sleep at night) Klitschko - Ibragamov (As a punishment for bad report cards) Moorer - Foreman (To teach them to respect their elders)
For all of those people who say Hagler-Hearns... I'd really really really like to know why? You are basically teaching your son to say "**** it" and die in the ring if necessary. That is the last fight I would show my son. That **** looks good to the fans, but you can't expect a guy to have even a 30-fight career if he fights like that.
