And here is the reason why I don't agree - Mosley knows the rules of boxing better than anyone. But he willingly and deliberately violated them to hopefully gain an edge against an opponent {DLH}.

That goes to a serious character flaw that cannot be corrected with a few wins in the ring. His actions demonstrated without a doubt, that he will, under certain circumstances break the rules, violate the rules and potentially endanger his opponent in his attempts to win.

That is NOT what the sport of boxing is about - Unless some of you forgot. Boxing is about two opponents meeting in the ring for competitive battle. No opponent should have a substantive edge, a physical equipment edge or any other edge that is artificial.

Like I give two shits what Carlos says, for all I care the guy didn't know what the **** he was doing and had to be warned for not banning people for over a decade whenever they said anything negative about Trinidad or Puerto Rico.

Firstly, I don't think there's any sort of equivalence between Mosley's cheating and Margarito's attempted cheating. Using roids is obviously low, but wrapping your hands with plaster is a whole other level. As Scar says, people can be KILLED in the ring from that ****. Rolling the dice with another fighter's career, with the obvious possibilities of permanent injury, brain damage and death, is absolutely despicable.

I don't buy either fighter's excuses that "they didn't know". How you can be unaware of the fact that your trainer is lining your hand wraps with plaster is beyond me, and it's just not believable that the trainer wouldn't have consulted Margarito in the first place. Similarly, I don't believe that a professional athlete at the top level would have been injecting himself with random **** without knowing exactly what it was. To be forgiven, both guys have to admit to exactly what they've done. Margarito won't do that, because that means a lengthy suspension and a subsequent loss in wages. But I'm not going to be his fan - and I don't think anybody should - until he does.

There are no theories. They have irrefutable evidence that Mosley took EPO and designer steroids. Mosley has admitted to taking both as well. The only question now is wheter or not you believe that Mosley knew what he was taking was illegal. All signs point to Mosley knowing what he took was illegal. There have been a lot of athletes that were busted because of their involvement with BALCO. Mosley and Bonds are the only ones claiming they unknowingly took steroids.

Now if you're going to reserve judgement on Mosley because he claims he didn't know he was taking steroids, that's fine. However, Margarito also claims he didn't know what was being put into his wraps. So you should be reserving judgement on him as well. Remember, everyone at BALCO and Mosley's trainer say Mosley knew what he was taking. Margo's trainer, manager, and Nasim Richardson all say Margo didn't know what was in his wraps.

What puts Margarito in a worse situation is his relationship with Capatello out of the ring, all people know that those two guys are FAR too close for things like that to slip away without Margarito's knowledge. That's what puts Mosley in a completely different spot in comparison to Margarito regarding their knowledge.

According to these articles this is still being investigated and looked at so I'll hold comments till we see what they come up with. When Margarito was first rumored to be caught with it I held back any negative comments till he was officially suspended since these things do happen just like mistakes/misunderstandings happen too. When he got nailed and suspended he got insulted and talked down about.

Morales is an all-time favorite of mine and a HUGE reason to why you find me here as a boxing fan. Rafael Marquez, Oscar De La Hoya, BabyBull Diaz and Juan Manuel Marquez are fighters I'm a HUGE fan of and constantly support/back up.

 

Would you tell your fighter you was wrapping his hands with plaster then expect him to get up and go and fight knowing he could kill someone? Come on Capatello would not tell him that especially because Margarito looked upto him like a father figure. I really dont think Margarito was aware and Ill always stick by that. If he has always felt the same thing in his wraps from the time he was with Capatello then he would have no reason to question anything because the feeling would still be the same in his glove as it always was, even in training. Think about it and both acts are despicable, Mosley could have done just as much damage with the extra strength that Steroids would have given him

 

Of course AM will be forgiven. I've forgiven him already. One poster said that he got caught trying to cheat, he didn't actually cheat. Another say Shane never got caught using roids lol. Shane was not found guilty because he is likable, and he didn't lie on purpose. Many of the Balco athletes were duped, but the fact that they let themselves get duped is where truth and lie come head to head. some knew what they were taking, and others didn't, but they say...you have to know what goes into your body. When you give answers like that defending AM or Shane, neither won't be forgiven. I've forgiven both fighters since they are honorable men. People will be excited as to which weight class AM will come back at. AM style-wise has been exposed as a guy who can't punch. Does AM come back at 154 or 147? I say 154.
