    Whitaker for me.
Pernell would definitely be in my top 20 of all time - but Pacquiao could be in the top 30 as of right now, so it's not inconceivable he could overtake him.
I'll always think Whitaker was the superior boxer but if Pacquiao strings together another few amazing wins, it will be impossible to overlook his achievements, which has to be the ultimate barometer of a fighters greatness.

I vote Pea but I honestly don't have a problem if someone votes Pac. It seems to have become criminal to have any criticism of Pea...and I don't think that's fair.

Personally I think Pea has a slightly inflated ranking. Although I agree that in the truest sense of P4P (taking weight completely out of the occasion), you could theroretically rank Pea as No.1...but I personally factor in acheivements and who people beat as well. Which is why I have Pea and Jones a lot lower than other people do.

I've got Pea at 25-30...and that's slightly ahead of Pac at the moment.

whitaker for me is top 25 while pac is top 35. so, for now, it is whitaker. but if pac goes on to beat the likes of mosley and/or mayweather, then that will definitely change.

Damn, my bad I accidently hit the PAC button. I think We'll have to wait untill Pacquiao is done to start comparing him with other retired fighters like Sweet Pea.
But I'll tell you what I would rather see Pac fight. No matter what situation Manny finds himself in, He'll fight. unlike Pernell. When Tito Cornered Pernell, and gave him no other option but to fight, Sweet pea just sat on his ASS. that demonstrated his lack of heart and made it clear he is not a warrior, a hell of a boxer but not a warrior.

The very fact that this poll is that close shows you how delusional *******s are. This should be 90% to 10% poll for Whitaker. Pea is a top 10 or 15 ATG who never lost a fight in his prime not to mention he's a stylistic hell for Pac and would school Pac it's not close.:deal

I thought Whitaker showed a fine warriors heart vs a prime bigger, younger, murderous punching Tito.... Pea was clearly past his best & he never came close to being stopped.
Not trading power in this situation doesnt = lack of heart, it = sticking to your own strengths to give yourself the best chance to win the fight aka defensive movements to make the bigger man miss what could potentially be a KO punch.
Whitaker was 1 tough mofo, dont let the fact he was a defensive specialist disguise this.

    :thumbsup
