Smart move. If Pav beat AA, Sturm would NEVER fight him. This way he may get a chance to beat Sturm in October and AA in January. Sauerland already said they would be fine with a January date.
I'd definitely be interested in this fight. I think often the only reason that Sturm is never mentioned when it comes to the big middleweight match-ups is that no one expects him to fight outside of Germany and so he is disregarded.
Maybe he thinks he doesn't make it past his mandatory and is looking to cash out? Any idea what happened to Thunder? He on vacation or something?
This is the 3rd best fight for Pavlik at 160, and honestly I'd rather see Paul Williams fight at the lower weights while he still can. If Pavlik can defeat Sturm, that would put even more pressure on all involved parties to make Pavlik/Abraham.
Now that you mention it,there is your problem, there is a great chance Gevor stops Sturm. And I'm thunder.
I think I might just PM you a surprise. Apparently some american tv firm(Commcast or something like that) has filmed the whole card in Kazahstan. Shumenov vs Mitchell being the main event.Sys it contains the undercard too so that means Karmazin+Chop Chop. Let me just find it.
