Vitali coming back does pretty much **** it all up, I agree with that, but he is the clear #2.

My point is that "might as well give the Ring belt out" is a ****-poor reason to give it out, when it is supposed to be the most prestigous of the belts.

No, Wlad and Vitali are the clear number one and two in the division.

For The Ring to crown a champion without one of them being defeated would diminish the title imo.

I hope yes! Wlad has been around forever now and deserves to be no1! And maybe just maybe if Wlad takes the Ring belt as well people will not give a damn about Vitali and that side show Valuev!

Maybe knowing Vitali he will then like to fight his lil brother?

And the circumstance in this case, 1 and 2 not wanting to fight, shouldn't warrant it.

it could. if there weren't examples in history and a rule that gives a clear opportunity to fight to ## 1 and 3 without being recognized as an "exception of rues".

who was ranked 2nd when Vitali beat sanders who was ranked 3rd when he became Rings champion!

Any way if that's the case for linear champ then Vitali still is linear champ?

I would love nothing more than for that to happen. If he retired then the Klit-Chag fight would definitely be for the legit title. Problem is, Vitali almost certainly won't do that.

so if he doesn't retire, there are 2 options - a Wlad-Chag winner's questioned Ring championship (thanks to Vitaly), or - **** the Ring. it's enough of WBC crap today...

I'm not aware or familliar with Ring's rules . . . but personnal opinon Wlad should get the Ring belt if he beat Chagaev.

It's not because it's a fight between #1 nd #3 but because if WLAD wins . . . he will have the WBO, IBF and WBA belt in his waste. A linear Champ.

That fight was not for the ring magazine because Mosley was rated 4 behind Cotto and Williams.

are you sure? I thought at the time of the fight williams had moved up and was no longer rated 3 at welterweight

Yes, the winner of this should get the belt.

Especially considering the 1 and 2 will never fight.
