was it pounds or dollars? either way, it was really a small amount. but his handlers say they deserved more because jmm performed really well against pac.

for the record, i think jmm really wanted to fight pac again for the amount initially offered. his handlers got greedy and they paid dearly for it

They talked about the Hamed thing on the HBO Countdown to Marquez-Barrera.

At first, Hamed had little interest in fighting JMM. After Hamed lost to Norwood, Hamed offered JMM a fight, but Nacho turned it down.

He was offered $700k for a rematch with Pacquiao, but his team turned it down.

Eventually his persistence paid off though and he got big fights in each of the last 3 years.

I'm curious to know that also. You'd think he would have made a decent purse for those fights but I'm not sure how well GoldenBoy is taking care of him!

you must be kidding fraud is getting 15 million for this? tell me it aint so the great Marquez 3 million ......I wouldnt take the fight. I would fight 3 other opponents for a total of 6 million in the next nine months. Marquez can generate that against guys like a Rocky Juarez,. Humberto Soto, then 3 or 4 million vs Kahn or Campbell or a Joan Guzman and wait Pac out! instead he is playig into Mayweathers hands

18mil in the pot from your figures......Marquez getting
3 mil, would mean he's be getting less than 18% of the pot......I dont think those figures are correct.

I would guess that for the risk that JMM is going to be doing to his career, he'd get at least a 5 mil guaranteed plus a % of the PPV......
.....for example, if the fight draws above a set amount of PPV's, Marquez' purse would go up dramatically......

.....its actually how Mayweather made out big in his fight with DLH.....by getting a big chunk of the PPV percentage.

Looks more like a typical case of JMM haters making things up!

fighting guys like juarez wont do anything for jmm at this point, guzman, khan, campbell, or any of the champs at 140 will be far better choices.

i guess it's largely because jmm hasnt really sold ppvs outside of his fights with pac. still jmm deserves more than 3mil

Your math looks rusty...;) Actually it's something like 83-17 purse split!!

JMM really looks like a tune up opponent for PBF... $3M against $15M... Ohhh Money May...:D
