    Offered $1.5 million to fight Morales....JMM ducked him.

    following Marquez's easy decision victory against Victor Polo on May 7, duBoef said Top Rank offered Marquez $1.5 million to fight Erik Morales this fall on HBO PPV. DuBoef said the Marquez camp asked for $3.5 million, a figure even the popular Morales has never been guaranteed for a fight.

    Marquez's career has suffered some chronic mis-managment.

    With as hard as Marquez fights he should really be making a lot more, but I doubt he's complaining as this is by far his biggest payday to date.

    First of all, consider the source, in this case TOP RANK.

    JMM and Bereinstein have been personas non-grata at Top Rank since the PAC/JMM sequel fell through and they have been pretty vocal about it, so anything they say should be taken with a grain of salt.

    Think for yourself, don't believe everything you read:deal
