    Is $3M enough for a Gatti-like beatdown??

"Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. views the July 18 showdown between his son Floyd Mayweather Jr, and WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, as a one-sided mismatch. He compares the fight to his son's one-sided beatdown of Arturo Gatti from 2005. Mayweather pounded Gatti for six rounds before the fight was stopped. He says the fight is so one-sided that he can't believe HBO placed it on pay-per-view. Marquez moves up be nearly two weight divisions to meet Mayweather at and agreed-upon weight of 144-pounds."

You have 2 different sources, the first mentions nothing of Top Rank and both have said JMM was indeed offer the Morales fight. Now do some math and recall some recent history if you have indeed watched boxing for the last few years everything does add up.

    Facts:
JMM turned down 50/50 for a purse of $750,000 to fight a Pacman rematch.

Early 2005 who is the bigger draw Morales or Pacquiao? Ill give you a hint Pac has had no PPVs at all and Morales had a few already.

Will Arum make more $$$ placing 2 of his fighters against each other or if he put the more marketable fighter up against another fighter who is a considerable favorite and not with his promotion team?

You JMM fans can spin it anyway you want believing its not JMM's fault, but the fact remains the oppourtunities were there for JMM, he didnt take it and he deserve what he got with the Chris John Fiasco. I have also yet to see any information from JMM's camp refuting these claims as you uninformed JMM fans are claiming.

i really dont see jmm winning this one though i want him to. jmm is great against fighters who come forward. but as the fight with chris john went, its awkward when the fighter is also good in fighting at his backfoot.

pbf will be too fast for jmm. jmm looked really good against pac because pac doesnt defend as well as pbf does. pbf by mid ko

The PAC/JMM rematch was NOT a 50/50 offer, that's the main reason the fight fell through.

You lost all you credibility there:deal

I didn't bother reading the rest of your BS.

You really are ****ing stupid, the entire purse was 1.5 million. JMM holds 2 titles, are you going to tell us that Pac was getting the bigger share? This is what started the whole Top Rank vs. JMM feud.

Marquez put his lineal championship for a 20/80 purse just to beat Pac which he did according to most experts and boxers (inlc. Filipinos). He's taking 20% again and bringing at least 300.000 buys from the Latino market. He's really, really underpaid, and took an unnecessary fight he couldn't win. I'm afraid it's beyond bravery. He's too brave for him own good.

Don't forget that Floyd also looked bad against some fighters that wait for him to make the action. For exemple Judah was waiting for him and sometimes Floyd didn't know what to do. Castillio in the first couple of rounds also waited for Floyd to do something and Floyd jumped funny a couple of times. It's not obvious who is going to be more frustrated by the others style

16.7% roughly of the purse rounded off.

Thats peasantry. That just goes to show that Mayweather done him over that the negotiations table.

Marquez deserves at least 30% of the purse minimum.

I'm sickened by Mayweather's ****ing greed, I really hope someone puts a hole through his stupid ass face.

I cant stand his money persona, he sounds like a real dickhead when he carries on like he is the only person who can have or make money.

Money dont mean **** when your ****ing dead so he is better off focusing on how people are really going to remember him and when he is dead all people will say is all he was concerned about was money not legacy.

Thats a wasted career right there. Fix up Floyd.
