i asked chavez that personally....he told me he believes that in order to get that "w" on your record, you gotta beat the **** outta your opponent....he also said "sure, whitaker danced around me, but it wasn't prom, it was a fight"....you can tell he knew he lost the fight, but deep down inside you can also tell he feels that whitaker didnt do enough fighting to win in a fashion that chavez agrees with....

That just means that Chavez didn't approve of Whitaker's fighting style because he fights a totally different style. In boxing that's normal, usually the aggressor takes it as he's the one with more heart/ability/balls, it's like a bullfight so to speak with the bull always looking more intimidating regardless of how the matador makes him look foolish. Still though Whitaker's boxing ability is Gold Medal worthy. I would admit that this comment from him is the one that just made me hate his guts, though his boxing ability can't be denied despite all the controversy.

chavez has always been bitter about that...and it's true, when you have a fighter like chavez lose to a fighter like whitaker in that fashion, it's hard to swallow.....chavez was a "kill or be killed" type of fighter

dont hold that against him bro, you defend mayweather for all the **** he says, you can atleast try to understand why chavez feels that way....it's sort of like when duran quit against leonard....he just didnt feel that sugar was fighting him l ike a man, so he quit.....
