Is Toney-Wlad More Entertaining In Your Mind then Chagaev-Wlad?

Thompson was big, right?, He caught him and Wladimir looked to survive well and actually fire back and trouble Thompson.

The talk about this man's chin is ridiculous as people make it look FAR worse than it really is. It's not the best but it's not glass either.

Regardless of Toney being more entertaining or more competitive than Chagaev, one thing that cannot be said now is that Toney is ducking Wlad.

Toney was ready to take this fight on short notice, and even teamed up with his old promoter Dan Goossen again to close the deal. But Wlad chose to face Chagaev as a step-in, which - seen from his perspective - is understandable in a way. Toney was very unlucky here again, as I guess that if the scheduled fight between Chagaev and Valuev in Finland had gone through as planned two weeks ago, then Wlad would have chosen Toney as his opponent.

Anyways, personnaly I think Wlad-Toney would have been far more entertaining than Wlad-Chagaev, as Toneys style would pose Wlad some problems even at this point and because Toney is very hard to stop, even now and even for Wlad. On the other side, Chagaev hasn't given us an entertaining fight during the last three years.
I'll probably tape Wlad-Chagaev and watch it on Sunday since I have better things to do on a Saturday evening, that's how excited I am about this fight. If Wlad had faced Toney, I'd made a party at my home and invited a lot of friends to watch the fight....

I'll admit there was no ducking coming from Toney here as he has no better choice anyway but back when the fight meant something he was the one to ruin it when they called him out.

No. Chagaev has a belt & it will be for the Ring title as well. What does Toney offer again? :huh

Ray Austin was also a large opponent with enough power to knock down Sultan, arguably twice.

How well did Austin do vs. Wladimir? :yep Not very.

..............so like I said, what does 2 ton Toney bring again :yep

Realistically, Wladimir would be the first to KO James but that doesn't compare to the WBA belt & the Ring belt.

Who besides Oldyfield has Toney KO'd at Heavyweight? Nobody. He doesn't have heavy hands in this division.

71-6 is pretty hard to argue with. i do love the version of toney that dismantled holyfield.i think toney could be a smarter ring general on this night. i do want to see chagaev knock the **** out of wlady though.

I've always picked BOTH Klitschkos to KO him, even when it was hot news 3 years ago and Toney was running like a chicken whenever they called him out with delusional demands only his fans would agree with.

As I said, pointless fight, Chagaev is a FAR better fight. As a matter of fact, a rematch with Rahman is worth more than a fight with Toney.

Prime Holyfield sure I'll agree. But the Toney that beat Holyfield?, you must be joking.

We can argue who'd win that one but the truth is even if you were right Wlad would be losing to an all time great. What's your point again?

I agree on all counts. Toney priced himself out and even the very best version of Toney at HW gets KO'd by either Klitschko. They're just too big & they'd dictate the pace & range that the fights would be fought at. Toney is very comfortable on the inside and neither KLitschko would let him get there.
