Or Taylor twice? Sturm, that would be a good move. He's actually is a little tougher in a way because he a better technical boxer than Abraham. Kelly may KO either, but I have a feeling he would KO AA quicker!
I think you may be right. In my opinion Sturm loses to both KP and AA by KO, becaue he won't get much respect from either. Ironically Sturm presents KP with more stylistic problems than Arthur does. Arthur goes to the ropes or a corner when he is under pressure. Pavlik would put him on the ropes and suck the life out of him. Sturm may be a lot harder to pin down.
No -- I don't. Between October 2005 and October 2008 Pavlik fought: Zuniga ( NABF title fight ) McKart ( Voluntary NABF title defense after career threatening hand surgery) Zertuche ( WBC title eliminator ) Miranda ( WBC title eliminator ) Taylor ( WBC/WBO world titles ) Taylor ( Contractually obligated rematch at 166 ) Hopkins ( Best fight KP could get at the time ) During that same period he fought 3 easy fights: Pierre Lockett Rubio Pierre was a show for the home town crowd. Lockett was a mandatory, and part of chasing a Calzaghe fight ( he was an Enzo Calzaghe fighter.) Rubio was a mandatory who earned the right to be there. So, no, I don't know what you mean.
Ok. What I meant is that: Concerning the recent time both Kelly and Arthur don´t get the **** of fighting each other together and meanwile fight relatively weak opposition. Felix, "everyones joke" first impressively beats Sylvester (at that time No 4 MW) and now Gevor (No 5 MW) who went toe to toe with Abraham till the ko. (Ok, let´s forget about Sato ) Pavlik and Abraham are praised for being the Top guys and miles away from Sturm but concerning the present Sturm seems to have the better opposition.
I've also stated Sturm has the best recent opposition. I don't think Pavlik and Abraham are "miles away from Sturm." I just think he loses to both simply because he doesn't have quite enough of the right tools to keep either guy off of him for 12 rounds.
As I said I´m not so sure of that as I was some months ago. Sturm really impressed me in the Sylvester fight. He is surely technically the best of the three top guys. Edith says: I end up defending a boxer I don´t even like....
Sturm won't take this fight unless he gets a truckload of cash for it, which I doubt is going to be on the table. Sturm isn't any sexier than AA, so there won't be substantial enough demand for him for big checks to be going around. This fight is less likely to happen than Pavlik vs. Abraham. If Pavlik really is taking control of his own affairs, he should push for a fight with PW at the end of the year and then match up with AA in 2010.
