This fight comes down to who the better boxer is. Cotto will not hurt Clottey, so he has to outbox him. Clottey is a guy who stands his ground using a jab, and body punching. Clottey has no right hand, Cotto has no right hand. Has Cotto learned his lesson since the Margarito fight? I think so. Both fighters have fought and lost to AM...and one was beaten up badly while the other beat Margarito up and lost.

Cotto is the cutie in this fight while Clottey is the defensive wiz. In fights like this the cutie wins most of the time. This fight is different. Clottey is going to be the bigger, heavier guy coming in. Cotto is the better boxer and the better offensive technition. What fascinates me about this fight is how will Cotto react when he can't land cleanly? Does he just keep on trucking keeping Clottey on the defensive, or does he get lazy, and Clottey catches up to him? Cotto boxed beautifully against Shane, and kept out of harms way. Clottey boxed AM superbly before he hurt his hand. This is a very close fight.

Cotto has to set his feet, punch, get out, not get trapped on the ropes, and utilize his movment around the ring, but not too much movement while Clottey has to land his jab and pressure Cotto, go to his body, and not get hit coming in. This might be an ugly fight to judge, but it is a very competitive fight. Can Clottey become aggressive offensively and double his offensive output from the AM and Judah fights, and has Cotto learned his lesson in his lack of defense effort against AM? We'll see. I'll make my pick later on in the week. What do you guys think?

Some think cotto is going to roll over Clottey, and you are sadly mistaken lol... This is a very tough fight for both guys. I want to see how Cotto reacts to the pressure of Clottey and this fight. Has Cotto fully recovered?

Shane, who is that girl on you aviator?
I think cotto won't box a lot like he did against AM. I know most of the people expect him to hit box and be quick on his feet, but I think he is going to stand in the middle of the ring for the first 3 rounds and ko'd clottey for sure 1 time within the 3 rounds and finish him inside 5 or 6 rounds.

I just don't see Clottey being stopped. I do think that Cotto might impress us by boxing and sticking to his game plan though.

I also agree with you, Cotto CAN AND WILL hurt clottey and it is likely he stops him.

I don't believe that Cotto will hurt Clottey at all, and if anyone figures to get hurt, it is Cotto. Cotto better box.

I think Cotto has a lot to prove after his fight with the B level opponent in Jenkins. So I think he will show what he is capable of and try to KO clottey. He has to fight an impressive fight if he wants to fight PAC next.

I agree with you. I see Clottey giving Cotto problems early but he fades a little bit later in fights and Cotto will have his chances.
