What British fighter had the most amazing backstory?

    just watched a doc on kassim ouma, what a story! he was forced to become a child soldier in the ugandan civil war and told to chop off "enemy" limbs at aged 6. then he escaped and joined the national boxing team and on the teams trip to the US for competition he defected and then of course went on to have a very good career.

    what British fighters had the most incredible backstory?

    i'll start of

    Michael Gomez. drugs, murders and his mother going into labour with him while driving, and his partialy sighted father taking over the wheel but then crashing the car into a lamp post on the way to the hospital and then being delivered in the back seat.

    He used to work in Mcdonalds. One time a guy asked for a big mac but called him a racist name.

    Andries got really pissed off and threw the burger at his head. The guy punched him so andries jumped over the counter and started laying it all over everyone in Maccy Ds.. .

    One of them was a boxing promoter and the next week he turned pro.

    that aint really amazing thats just stupid as hell and shows us why he worked in McDonalds in the first place

    how about some of the old timers who grew up in the depressions etc..

    all these modern fighters back stories is my bed time stories to them
