I feel that JMM should have gotten more. The guy has given so much to the sport and I like to see guys like him get rewarded. I guess in a way he is getting a career high payday but I think he should have gotten at least 5mil.

I agree. I wish Marquez was getting more. Atleast 6-7 mil.

    it is what it is.

marquez realizes the opportunity thats at stake. i mean, shane was willing to accept a 60/40 split with manny for the same reasons.

JMM is above Gatti in terms of boxing skills but JMM is also below Gatti in terms of size... PBF has all the physical advantages over JMM... Size (maybe 8 to 10 lbs. advantage), reach (5" advantage), height are all for PBF aside from being the stronger boxer... That's where the danger of a Gatti-like beatdown will come from... Also JMM cuts easily...

im sure jmm believes he can win this fight and knows that winning will make him the new chavez and will get a fortune fighting anyone after that. even if he doesnt win he wins. imagine if it comes down to a legitimate split decision. would anyone outside of the confirmed sacswingers consider floyd a better fighter than jmm?

Says the person who claims that Arum is on the wrong side of everything and should have no credibility whatsoever.

I schooled your ass on the subject 2 years ago, I can give you a refresher course if you like Divac.

Some of you guys are retarted, People are going to watch 24/7 and the and the paper view to see Floyd. Marquez, as much as I love his style and skills is not the draw. Also he is getting by far the biggest pay day of his career. Since everyone is so pissed off, who the hell else is he gonna fight for 3.? MIL. Floyd is being paid that amount because like him or hate him ur gonna tune in to 24/7 which is ratings for HBO. Ur gonna tune in to the fight to see what he has left, or if he will lose The guy is creating revenu. I don't think they would pay him that much if they aren't making a substantial amount of money themselves. I love the sport but all of this anti Mayweather crap is starting to get corny. The guy signed a 5 fight deal with golden boy. I don't think he's gonna fight 4 more light weights. Haters fall back and lets all enjoy the sport.

Size is definitely a factor but it's not as major as people try to make it look, Pac was overlooked going against DLH by the boxing public based on size and only size and we saw what happened.

Marquez is an A class fighter and an A class fighter can overcome size based on natural ability and style. People can't totally count him and all his abilities out the window because Mayweather is bigger than him, it's not like the size difference is HUGE either, we're not talking Paul Williams/Floyd Mayweather difference here nor DLH/Pacquiao.

Marquez is being cheated. He will have to fight the referee, judges, commentators, etc., everything is stacked in Void's favor, or Void would not have done this fight. The cards have already been filled out for Void. Hell, in the Hatton fight, Hatton was deducted a point for hitting the rope! No joke, go back and watch it. Hatton was not allowed to fight on the inside either. That is the reason I do not like Void.

Just to slightly correct your post, there was'nt a weight advantage for DLH against Pacquiao.....

......and weight can certainly be a strong factor, especially considering that both Marquez and Mayweather may be the two best skilled fighters in the game today.....

Hopefully both fighters will allow themselves to be weighed fight night, so we can see and not speculate what their weights were, and if it may have been a factor in the fight.

Size is only one factor where PBF is at advantage over JMM but coupled with the other factors PBF has advantages then it will solidify into one big danger...

PBF is the better counterpuncher and maybe viewed as having the better boxing skills...

Definitely PBF is the better man defensively... So he's expected to get hit less...

PBF is younger and could have the better stamina...

There might have not beed weight advantage but there was size advantage and that's what people pay attention to most.
