I notice Cotto stretches alot befor working out, Why is this?

    stretching can reduce power, best to do a good warm up similar to what your about to do then stretch after, but hey, whatever hes been doing is working well so forget science and stick with what works for you i guess

    No he doesn't i asked phil landman (his conditioning coach) about his routine and he gace me a good detailed outline of it.

    I use a combonation of light warm ups and light stretching before each workout or sporting activity I find it not only helps my reaction time and flexibility but it also adds to my explosiveness. It also gives you a bit of mental preperation and focus before you box or play basketball IMO.
