No, but he was no medically
cleared to fight either. Thats not Valuev's fault that Chagaev is disease infested, and he just doesn't want him bleeding on him.

    :good

Yes because Wladimir offers a fight to Valuev first after Haye pulls out. And Valuev says "no" to Wladimir.

Chagaev is still WBA champion and the title is up for grabs, as far as most fans are concerned.............who cares if Chag has the physical belt or not?

I guess I"ll have to call and get classic turned on, as I only have regular, now.

    Great fight..........can't wait! :good

They intentionally avoid the titleholders from the other orgs, in order to keep from having unifying fights mandated.

It will be interesting to see how the outcome of the Valuev Ruiz snoozer, and the Wlad Chag winner, and the Vitali Haye winner (assuming that happens, and I think it will) all interact, then.............

Valeuv's days of avoiding real threats are numbered, and things are heating up! :good

Vitali must fight Oleg Maskaev according to WBC. Vitali says that the fight with Maskaev is boring and he wants to avoid it
Viewing the decision of WBA , I don't see something different. We still have the same thing with the titles. Nikolay is the Champion and Chagaev the Champion in recess. I expected Chagaev to lose his belt!

Valuev - Ruiz a snoozer??? Have you actually seen the fights? Both fights were close and very entertaining, and there is unfinished business because of the MD/SD decisions. Ruiz always comes to fight. It was really impressive to see him storm the Valuev fortress. Both men applied some holding, but not to an unusual extend.
So IMHO Valuev - Ruiz III is ok! Maybe let Ruiz fight an eliminator before. There are lots of WBA ranked HWs waiting who I want to see in action, amongst others Minto, and Brewster!

    According to the article not.
"The WBA’s attorney letter also states that neither Chagaev, Klitschko nor their representatives have requested a WBA sanction of the event, which “is unlikely to be granted.” Valuev and Sauerland will make no attempt to stop Chagaev from fighting Klitschko, but have demanded that Valuev’s status as champion not be further confused by a WBA sanction of Klitschko-Chagaev."

The odd part is that Chagaev couldn't have technically made a request for a WBA sanction before his status was clarified. Go figure.

May I ask you a question? No hard feelings. Even if what you are saying is correct(that he avoids Klitschko) do you blame Valuev? A fight with a Klitschko is very diificult and may end in a loss. Since he can avoid it , why not do so? They are professional boxers. I ,personally, would call him a pu**sy if he was obliged to face Klitschko and he avoided.
Now , since Klitschko is not an official challenger why risk his belt ?
To me it is very reasonable, sorry

if valuev ducks wlad, and he is a champ, he should fight the best guy, that's wlad. instead it ruiz, i don't think he is even a top 5, maybe not a top 10 guy. according to what you are saying "why risk his title" when are we ever going to see a competitive fight? can you imagine the redwings not playing the penguins because they thought they might lose? champs need to fight the best guys out there, not hand picked ham n eggers they can take with little effort.

Tyson was a kid when he touched his niece or whatever she was.

Getting a loaded gun and putting it to a kid's head over something like that is freaking crazy. Teddy Atlas is a ****ing lunatic and it's embarassing to ESPN that he's their commentator.

The WBA should be embarrassed with their handling of their belt, and the judging in many of Valuev's fights. A golden opportunity for a WBA world title fight is at hand, and what does the WBA do? Ignore it. They are in bed with Valuev and Don King.

Klitschko vs Chagaev is for the Ring magazine title. That’s good enough for me.
