Am I the only one who feels this is equal or even greater than the opening round of Marvin Hagler vs Thomas Hearns?

Arguello/Pryor 1 is as good as the fight game gets.

Round 2 - 7.06 Overhand right from Arguello. How the hell is Pryor stay up.

Two superb fighters, one superb fight. Arguello was just one of the coolest fighters that I've ever seen. He always exuded a calm, dignified belief in his own abilities. Would have loved for him to have pulled off the win but I don't think Pyror was ever going to be beaten in this encounter.

    That's fantastic. I'm envious.

It's the greatest fight of the 1980s, and perhaps of all time, in my opinion. I rate only Barrera/Morales I above it.

it didnt even get fight of the year

i thought Chacon vs Boza Edwards 2 and vs Limon 4 were better fights from the 80s but this is 4th after Hagler Hearns at 3rd

    I disagree.

I think Arguello and Pryor were much better fighters than Limon, Chacon, and Edwards, and I believe Hagler Hearns to be an overrated fight.

Just my opinion. It holds no weight.

And it even has the live football scores coming up every so often at the bottom. All the English and Scottish teams were playing midweek games.

selfkill i agree entirly that Arguello and Pryor are much better than Chacon, Limon and Boza Edwards

however them fights were great nonstop action and it was of a high level (not as high as Arguello vs Pryor) but it is like splitting hairs there all great fights

What a fight.............one of the best of all time, experience, class and numerous weight classes, vs young, avoided, destructive whirlwind. The quintessential boxer vs the steel-chinned tornado.

    What a fight!

The great scene in this feature presentation is where Pryor takes his foot off the gas after a few hectic sessions and simmers into his smooth and attractive style of boxing.

Many only thought of Pryor as a whirlwind, but he was very capable of slowing it all down and making his angles count without the self-inflicted balance problems.

With that out of the way, it was a superb fight.
