Hopkins-Calzaghe had one and it was on basic HBO. Pavlik vs Taylor I had one as well and it was the same deal.

I think HBO just figures Cotto sells on his own and that his market is all they need. They didn't even want to do a countdown show for Cotto vs Margo.

Right indeed. The only fight to come close was the 475K for JMM-Pac Man which Cotto vs Margo edged out by some 25K or so.

you would expect MSG to be full as both fighters are fighting out of new york.

HBO have given up on countdown shows, its either a 24/7 or nothing.

Hmmm.....I think you may be onto something. I think they've traded in the Countdown shows for more of those "Ring Life" segments.

Which I think is pretty stupid but I don't know the numbers either way. The UFC countdown shows do pretty good considering what they are (just an hour of filler on the fights).

No, because the only PPV fight was Pacquiao vs. Hatton, which they did a 24/7 for.

But you would think they would have at least done one for Mosley-Margarito, Marquez-Diaz, or Cotto-Clottey.

Remind me when Hatton made anything close in other PPVs to be considered a mega draw all of a sudden.

Like it or not Cotto is NOT a draw as he hasn't proven to be one yet, the man had three PPVs only and the one with Mosley did **** poor numbers considering he was fighting Mosley.

*EDITED: THREE PPVs thanks to Arriba for correcting

I think some people have hit the nail on the head. Budget is running low at HBO...

    Three.

It did 350 to 400K. That's good numbers for a boxing PPV that doesn't have ODLH on it.

    LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL.

Mosely is not a draw. Mosley has a loss. Mosley is never on the A-side. Mosley can't sell anywhere but LA. Mosley... etc... etc....

****ing BULL**** Floyd ****weather crap again. Sick and tired of the **** he spews out and his fans lick it up like sick puppies.

All this crap about having a loss and not being a PPV draw. Yet his CHERRY PICKS Marquez... When the **** has Marquez drawn..? When has HE been on the 'A-side' (whatever the **** that means).... Not to mention the FOUR, COUNT 'EM! FOUR! Losses...

Seriously. Mayweather just talks out of his arse constantly.

Yet Mayweather does the same fighting Judah, Baldomir and Gatti but isn't a draw according to that guy.

The Mosley fight didn't do as good as people expected it to.

When the fight is over and the PPV numbers are out I'll wait to see what you will come up with.

No one is saying anything negative here, all I'm saying is that Mayweather IS one of the biggest draws in boxing right now, like it or not. It doesn't require brains to know that Mayweather/Pacquiao would do FAR more than Mosley/Pacquiao or Cotto/Pacquiao.

Is that why they didn't buy Margie's airline tickets and ringside seat?
