Mayweather is naturally bgger and has been fighting naturally bigger fighters for a long time.
Marquez was still a featherweight when Mayweather was a welterweight.

The size difference between the two will not matter. It is you guys who said the same things about Pac being too small for Dlh that are thinking Floyd is going to be so much bigger. You just aren't in the know of this sport. Floyd is a tall guy for the lower divisions, and slim guy. Marquez will be ready, and Floyd knows he has a fight on his hands that night.

Nobody knew de la Hoya would make the weight wrong and be drained.
It's a well known fact Oscar had a wrong camp.

Dlh did everything right, but at the wrong age. Only blind fans didn't know this.

    No he didn't.
Too much sparring, getting beat up in sparring, keeping his weight down too much time and too easly before the fight, absolute wrong rehydration after the weigh-in,protecting the left shoulder too much, etc.
He did everything wrong along with the age.He should have been 160 lbs in the ring.

... No. Just no. Why the **** was he stepping on the scales at SUB 145 in the build up to the fight???

He needed to be 147 for that ONE MINUTE.

ONE MINUTE on the scales, that's all he needed.

The guy was ****ED. Coming down 3 pounds from the fairly decent Forbes performance (certainly decent enough to beat a newly arrived Lightweight) should not have left him ruined.

He and his camp messed up VERY VERY badly. Full credit to Pac for tapping that ass.

people are idiots.....marquez fought damn near 16 years at 126 maywweather has fought the last 5 years at 140 and 147
thats a legitimate 3 division difference at a minimum
its all about strength and mayweather will be ALOT stronger....this will be a bad mismatch

According to some ESB gurus Mayweather/Marquez is similar to Williams/Pacquiao in size difference.

Looks like they forgot how they were jumping buttnaked in full support of Margarito making a living calling out and losing to guys literally half his size.

There is no doubt that they WILL be similar in size but we KNOW that Floyd is effective 140 and up but with Marquez most signs point to that he WONT be as effective at the higher weight. I still expect Marquez to give it all he has and give a great fight, but Floyd is in fact the BIGGER fighter and arguably the better fighter
