Yeah not a big fan of that one eaither, where did cleaning out your own division before calling out someone from another go?

Anyway I recall Mosley saying that he would like to fight Mayweather.

He won't fight Paul Williams because it is all risk and no financial reward. Personally, if Mayweather were to have chosen Paul Williams, he would have won over a plethora of hardcore fans.

Yup and that came right after Mayweather/Marquez was announced. Don't you find it strange that despite Kenny getting Mosley to prove his point Mosley moves on to ignore all of that and still call Pacquiao out?

As far as cleaning out divisions is concerned he has done that with TWO divisions already, why didn't Pacquiao clean out 135?, I can bring up similar examples forever. Let me tell you why cleaning out divisions isn't possible. You might be lost in hype but these guys have age like we do and let's face it, cleaning out a division also means nearly 8 fights with two or three at most taking place in one year, let's say he cleans out 147 and 154, will he be able to secure major/big money fights in the process?. the answer is no. At this stage and like ALL fighters there is a point where big fights mean all.

Instead of questioning Mayweather's decision to fight a smaller Marquez I don't see you participating in threads and complaining about why Mosley is trying to get Pac to move up to fight him?, isn't Pac smaller too?, isn't Williams FAR bigger than Mayweather, why is he a good candidate to fight Mayweather instead of Marquez but it's unfair for Marquez to fight Mayweather?

All the bull**** you're trying to start aside, Mayweather already announced a FIVE fight plan/signed for it and already said that it's Pacquiao or Mosley after Marquez so complain till you **** bricks for all I care these fights will eventually happen. I also wouldn't recommend bringing up Mosley as Mayweather called out Mosley and was turned down numerous times, the most notable and public one was in 2006 when he announced that a tooth injury is pulling him back.

    Enjoy it.

Fans don't pay the bills. I don't think you will go to work just for the sake of satisfying the "employees" and get it all done for free, will you?

This place seems to be infested with 10 year olds lately.

Guess that depends on your mindset...

For example I'm a freelance writer and I make a decent wage, but if Rolling Stone or The Ring asked me to work with them for 1/2 what I make now I'd be all over it. SOme people care about money and some people care about prestige. Floyd cares about money, not prestige.

Scar, you are not asking me, but imo Floyd will never fight Paul Williams. It has nothing to do with the money but the big possibility of Floyd losing that fight. Even if the money is good he won't take the fight. I actually thing that Floyd will be the underdog if that fight ever happens.

If Floyd really wanted to fight Williams he could get him in the ring any time.... He just has to say 'I want paul williams' and that would be it. It is irrelevant what Paul said regarding fighting his next fight at Jr. Middle.... Paul will fight Floyd any time if Floyd wanted the fight to happen. I think Paul will be more than happy with 25% of the purse.

Floyd vs Williams might not be the must profitable fight for Floyd but I thing it will do good money wise now that Williams has done more for himself career wise.... with good publicity and a 24/7 series the fight will do good...... but why to risk the ZERO if he can make the same money or easily more money fighting Pac for example and keep the ZERO, right...???? Not saying with this that Pac will be easy, but the chances of losing against Williams are really BIG in comparison with the chances of losing against Pac.

I might be wrong, (or Floyd can prove me wrong) but that's the way I see it.

Floyd vs Williams is a stupid fight and one I would pick Floyd to lose in, Williams made Margarito look small and Margarito makes Mayweather looks like a midget so go figure. I'll openly admit that without the need to twist or any of that, Williams is the wrong fight, Mayweather is better off fighting people in his range and can do so while making far more money. If you thought DLH made Pacquiao look like a midget wait till you see how Williams would make Mayweather look. If anyone should fight Williams then that's Mosley, I see people bringing up that fight but not Mosley/Williams for obvious reasons and the main one being hate and the desperate desire to see Mayweather lose. Mayweather can make better fights against Cotto, Mosley and Pacquiao and that's what he said he plans for.

I don't think Floyd Vs Williams is a stupid fight..... a stupid fight was Floyd vs Gatti. Floyd has a better chance at defeating Williams than the chances Gatti ever had (if any) at defeating Floyd. Didn't Williams lose his ZERO against a lesser boxer than Floyd in Quintana? With Floyd skills there is always a chance.... a real one, that is.

Regarding Mosley fighting Williams I agree with you.... I would actually like to see all the top dogs at 147 fighting Williams and that includes Floyd..... the good thing is that at least some of them are fighting each other, so the possibility alwalys exists....

The problem with many of Floyds fans is that the excuse, reason or whatever you want to call it, for not fighting Williams has been that Williams was/is a nobody..... and I think that was stupid to say.

I am not trying to offend you, but I think that it is safe to say based on what you just said, that Floyd should STFU and not say any more, along with his hardcore fans, that Floyd is the best welterweight at the present, because that isn't true.

He was the best welterweight on the planet it's his retirement that changed that and now Mosley holds that title, you thinking Williams is better or Quintana or whoever doesn't change facts as random opinions never changed facts.

Gatti fight might have been pointless to you but still it was a championship fight, I could say Williams vs Margarito was as pointless as Gatti vs Mayweather, wasn't Margarito a paper champion too?, he won a vacant title with a lineal champion around so both fall in the same category if you want to have a discussion regarding "pointless" fights.

Williams had a fight at Middleweight recently and already stated that his next fight is Jr. Middleweight or Pavlik at middleweight if they can get it so I believe Williams and his team themselves revealed future plans that's unless you are a part of his team undercover trying to hint around here that you know where he plans to fight and who.

About the Quintana fight, I know Williams is beatable but it's not something easy especially not for the WAY smaller Mayweather. The size difference in this one is INSANE and not the type of fight where I would consider fair regardless of Williams being able to make weight or not. It's hilarious that people would have the nerve to say Marquez/Mayweather isn't fair yet Mayweather/Williams is beyond fair and reason when it comes to size.

As I said, Williams ISN'T a nobody but he isn't Manny Pacquiao, Shane Mosley nor Miguel Cotto when it comes to providing a big mega event and that's the type of fight Mayweather is aiming for whether you want to consider him fair or not is your own choice, fact is they ALL do it just like Williams is trying to do it by securing big names for big money.

Think it's also fair to say that the majority of fans would rather see Mayweather/Mosley, Mayweather/Pacquiao or Mayweather/Cotto FAR more than Mayweather/Williams. You preferring a fight with Williams doesn't make it #1 on all people's lists, start a poll as a quick example to see for yourself, the entire boxing public has been talking about a fight with Pacquiao ever since he KO'd Hatton and Mayweather announced his return.

We CAN'T judge/predict what fights Mayweather will pick, you can assume all day long but in the end it proves nothing. Mayweather announced a 5 fight deal he signed for, the first is coming up, there are FOUR after them. It's only logical to be patient and wait rather than starting theories out of our asses about who he's ducking or calling out when he's scheduled/focused on someone already.
