JMM has a better work rate and higher KO rate than Floyd. If he could carry his power to WW level the way he carried it to the LW, I think it's Floyd who will be going down!:yep
:rofl JMM did come back and won 7 of the next 11 rds to eke out a draw with the help of a scoring error from one of the judges. Marquez did an excellent job alright but Pac was far from being silly, he could've won than fight if not for that scoring error!:deal
7 times down, but only truly hurt once....and that was in the Pacquiao rematch...... Almost all of those knockdowns were flash knockdowns, and only in the Pacquiao rematch was their a chance from any of those knockdowns that JMM could get stopped. ......Hatton went down like a ton of bricks from a Pac shot......JMM in that rematch was coherent and recovered within seconds after hitting the canvas from a similar type shot that KO'd Hatton. ......it goes to show you that Marquez cannot be easily hurt. A fighter can suffer knockdowns and not be hurt by them.
Marquez was never KO, but, he was hurt against Diaz in his last fight. And Diaz is not a known for his power.
what the hell are you talking about. coherent? he was sure lucky that the KD happened near the end of the round and he was not pummeled even more? coherent my ass you hating armadillo. JMM was lost and followed pac to pac's corner instead of going to his own corner. he had to be helped by the referee and his seconds back to his corner. you call that coherent?deal
I don't think he has a suspect chin, he gets 'knocked down' but doesn't lose his legs and has the strength to come back. It's not like Amir Khan or Enzo M who's legs turn to Jelly when they are hit.
he became coherent after having the time in between rounds to recover. hatton after the 2 KO's in the first round was pretty even in the 2nd round until he got hit with that sledgehammer. coherent and getting lost in your directions are two different matters my friend. sure he recovered and fought quite well.
the punch that KD'd jmm in the rematch was a compact inside left hook counter, more of an arm punch. the punch that felled hatton was a big mid-range left hook with pac's full leverage behind it.
What? What's Pac's chin got to do with it? Can we just talk about Marquez. Everyones sick of talking about Pac, people are starting to hate the guy. Pac fans are saying he's the best of all time, which is making other boxing fans automatically take the defensive and try and knock down his achievements. Nothing worse than someone achieving what Pac has and people not giving him the credit he deserves.
Floyd Mayweather punches like Joe Calzaghe. He doesn't put any power/weight behind his punches. Just moves his arms. I don't see him knocking Marquez out, unless it's by marquez absorbing lots of punishment throughout the fight.
floyd doesn't commit/sit on his punches since doing that will compromise his defensive shell. mayweather is a defense and safety first boxer. probably the only time he will finally commit and put more weight in his punches is when he is sure that the other guy is in trouble, tired or hurt due to punch accumulation later in the fight.
I dont agree entirely with your statement......Mayweather fights safety first when there is danger on the other side......but unlike Calzaghe, Mayweather does have the pop in his shots to hurt and put a fighter on ***** street...... Mayweather times and loads up on a power shot or two every now and then......he did it a few times against the much bigger DLH at DLH's weight of 154 lbs ....and it made DLH's legs buckle at least on two occasions..... Making DLH's legs buckle is something that Pac could'nt do to DLH at 147 lbs, and Pac hit DLH much more consistenly with true power shots that just did'nt have the same effect those times shots by Mayweather had on him.
