BS. MAB gave Pac a shot, this was MAB retirement fight and infact threatened to retire if he didnt get a shot at Pac...so GBP gave it to him to cash out, and Pac gave it to him. Many fans in this forum were calling the first fight a fluke, forest fire etc. Straight after Pac gives JMM his rematch...and if only JMM manages not to hit the canvas with his ass. As for the thread....its because MAB chose to run all through the fight...to the point HBO commentators were pointing it out and fans booing. This is what happened when MAB chose to engage for just 1 round in the fight [YT]Kmpun8TNHPE[/YT]
You've got to be a freakin idiot to come in here and act as if there are'nt any boxing journalist to give JMM 8 of the 12 rounds in their fight.......atsch Here's one journalist, Pedro Fernandez who quotes in his article that the consensus was that JMM had taken 8 rounds....... Since a ******* like you would'nt know.......a 115-112 score where Pac scored a knockdown, means Marquez won 8 rounds....... http://www.ringtalk.com/index.php?action=fullnews&showcomments=1&id=1818
Pedro Fernandez is the most anti-pacman writer in the internet. Insulted the entire Filipino nation in one article of his that to post a reply is jsut too insulting. It was as if he was trolling.
I've always thought Manny let Marco survive. The other thing that stuck in my head was the Barrera cheap shot during a break late on in the fight. Manny staggered onto the ropes and looked totally dazed from what had seemed a harmless little cheap shot
That wasn't a cheap shot. MAB had already launched the shot when Steele came in weak with one hand. I doubt if it would have landed if Steele hadn't jumped in though...
Anytime that Pedro writes an article pointing out any Pacquiao weaknesses, the *******s flock to his comments section claiming he's a hater....... Pedro is such a Pac hater he ranks Pacquiao inexplicable #1 P4P, despite the fact that he believes Pacquiao has twice lost to Marquez...... Lets lay down the facts......prior to the JMM-Pac rematch, Pedro gave JMM no chance to beat Pacquiao, who Pedro described as an improved fighter compared to the Pac that had fought JMM earlier....... Pedro's choice of words in his prediction was that Pac would obliterate JMM in one sided rounds...... ....then after the fight, he told it like it was and those journalist around him that had witnessed the same happenings..... Pedro is'nt even a JMM fan and seldom writes about him....... If you read Pedro's articles, he's always praising Pac, but tears apart the clueless *******s that follow him. You want to know the truth about Manny Pacquiao, read a Pedro Fernandez article......always high praise of Pacquiao, but points out that there are also flaws.
it was one of those fighte where a silent agreement is made " I wont try and win if you dont try to knock me out. "
that was a off night for manny at the office, he looked like **** in that fight, barrera was not in his prime and could not let his hands go and pressure pac....he did hurt manny in round 5 IMO from a uppercut that staggered pac back to the ropes.....manny clearly won the fight, but barrera to me fought a good fight, just didnt have enough, when manny clearly had a "off night"
Off night? I was actually impressed with Manny........MAB really only had one plan to be able to beat Pacquiao....but it required the cooperation of Pacquiao's aggressiveness. MAB's plan was to back up and turn laterally at Pac's wild but explosive advances......Freddie Roach is no dummy and had Pac ready for it....... The thing for MAB to have done was to throw Pacquiao off with some wrinkles to his game by tweaking it some.....but MAB who I consider an overrated boxer who mainly can just jab and lateral, could'nt adjust to anything, thus his downfall. Pacquiao was'nt cooperating by being the aggressor, and MAB who it was required to take some chances, just did'nt have the balls to do so. MAB hardcore fans always get upset over my comments on MAB, but the reality is what it is. MAB did'nt leave it in the ring. A yellow belly fight from MAB, and a brilliant tactical choice by Pac to take the play away from MAB and force him to have to attack him, if he wanted opportunities to score. Had Pac attacked MAB aggressively as MAB was expecting, believe me.....MAB had trained strictly to exploit that scenario, and he would have been able to exploit Pac had Pac given him that opportunity. Brilliant tactical fight by Pac not to allow MAB to sit and lateral his advances......it was Pac who threw a wrinkle at MAB and MAB could'nt deal and have none of making an adjustment.
you said there are "loads of boxing journalist" that have scored the fight as lopsided as you and mr. pedro fernadez did. now name all the other "loads of boxing journalist" that has the fight at least 8-4 for jmm. are you mr. pedro fernandez himself?
I'm not going to waist my times searching for links for the likes of *******s........ Bottom line...........[yt] http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Ewo7qzKU80[/yt] You really cant get any more honest than what Kellerman and Papa had to say a week after the JMM-Pacquiao rematch was fought.......and those are two guys who work for HBO who have every reason to make their boss's happy and side with Pacquiao, but they made a strong statement a week later........ ......go ask you fellow Pinoy's.....the ones who broadcast the fight to the Phillipines on who won?yep
