As long as dosn't fight like its the Margo fight. He needs to pressure and box only if he really needs to late in the fight. Destroy the body!

Maybe he means he's going to clinch now if he needs to

Agreed - he's very good at what he does. Making some modifications and learning new things to complement your natural style is one thing - but changing your style completely? Bad, bad idea...

In the Margo fight he was on the backfoot. Are you saying that's a bad idea, because against Clottey it's the BEST idea. You want him to get in close on Clottey??? That's a bad idea when you have poor stamina, Clottey will bust Cotto up like Marg did, even WITHOUT tampered wraps.

Just want Miguel to come back; this win will get him back up there and set up the mega-fights. Pretty certain Marg was cheating, in which case it takes a massive Welterweight with an iron chin who throws 100 punches a round with tampered wraps to beat Cotto. That's how good Miguel is:deal

Nope, Cotto has stated that you would never see him clinching.

I don't think Cotto said he was going to knock him out in three rounds, he is saying that AFTER three rounds we will see who has heart.

    Cotto by TKO :bbb

Btw Clottey is from Ghana not Africa

To me saying Clottey is from Africa rather from Ghana is like saying Cotto is from the Carribean instead of from Puerto Rican, I rather be more specific I guess lol. Pet peeve sorry :nut

The article alludes to some type of change in his style. His team said that the public will see a change come Saturday but Cotto himself did not say that he was going to change his style of fighting.

I think the change is just the corner and they are just trying to hype up the supposedly positive effects due to a change in trainer.

    That's it.

[FONT=verdana, arial, helvetica, courier, courier new][SIZE=+1] I do understand your point. You can say Miguel is from the Caribbean. Nothing wrong with that. Not our fault people from the African continent tend to identify themselves as Africans. Just like US Citizens think they are the only "AMERICANS" when in fact there are many different nations in America. My favorite is when a Black American identify himself as African-American when, in fact, has no idea what Africa is.

Expect to see a likeness of Wilfredo Gomez this Saturday...." Boxing, Defense and Power "

There will be no running on Cotto's part....just a lot of lateral movement.

Just expect more movement, & the same ol' Cotto sprinkled in.
Clottey will be doing the pressure here.

If anything, I expect Clottey to apply a style he has never used.
Expect him to have, dare I say it..... "Huge Punch output numbers".

You mean 10 punches a round as opposed to his typical 5? :happy

I've never seen Clottey effectively pressure anyone. It's now or go home.
