Froch is a big natural SMW,i cannot see him agreeing to a catch weight fight at 164,and no way can he make 160 !!!
At 168 there will only be one outcome, and i'd be seriously concerned about Pavliks health.Nard may have been able to stop Pavlik had he stepped on the gas,and Nard is known for doing just enough and i dont think he'd of risked gassing or maybe getting tagged by looking for the KO.Froch wont gas and wont worry about being tagged by Pavlik in order to land his own bombs.Froch beats Pavlik by brutal KO. :good

pavlik is limited, but he's still a hundred times better than Froch.

Pavlik beat the **** out of Taylor AND outboxed him. Froch managed to survive for long enough to catch up to Taylor. Pavlik is fundamentally sound and has a good long hard jab. He would definitely outbox Froch at times.

Must see fight, really hope it happens.

Valid points, but Pavlik is a middleweight,at 168 no amount of skill, fitness,or desire will bridge the size difference.Pavlik was exposed by Nard, but i dont think this was completely down to Nards skill,Pavlik was dead at the weight.

Great fight. Size, strength and power go to Froch. But workrate and skills to Pavlik. I see Kelly's nice straight punches sailing through Froch's excuse for a guard, but Froch's one punch power is a great equaliser and he's got the chin to take a lot of Kelly's punches, which unlike Taylor, he will see coming. Personally I don't see a knockout, Pavlik can go down but recovers quickly and his defence is tight and he won't tire. Pavlik's gonna land with more punches, but Froch's are going to have more behind them.

Hmm, tough to call. If it's at a catchweight instead of 168, i can see Pavlik outworking Froch for a decision.

    Great, great fight.

Last night I read through a bunch of old threads from way back when, so the tenor of this thread is very familar to me. According to the vast majority on ESB Miranda was going to expose Pavlik as a hype job. After that Taylor was going to beat Pavlik 120-108. We saw how that worked out.

There is realy only one relevant question: Is Kelly Pavlik 14 seconds better than Jermain Taylor?

    Pavlik KO5 Froch.

I'd favour Pavlik. If it goes 12 I think he'd win due to his higher work-rate and slightly tighter skills and defence. But the truth is its difficult to see this going 12 and I think Pavlik wears him down in a gruelling fight.

Froch might have one punch power and weight in his favour though...plus Pavlik is easy to hit, so its no sure thing.

No i mean DEAD, lethargic,no speed,no snap,no stamina. Many cruiser's over the years have experienced the same problems when trying to move up.Adding weight can have exactly the same effect as drying and losing weight.
