i just rewatched some of marquez's fights, his accuracy is just down right scary, if he can carry the weight well he will give floyd a tough fight, i'm hoping he weighs in around 143 or so, so he can retain the speed.

He will give him a good fight he's too good of a boxer not to. If he handles the weight I expect PBF 8-4 if not PBF TKO late.

yeah, i agree that jmm has to come in at around 143. he weighed 140 during his most recent fight. gaining too much fighting weight at so short a time will affect his speed, movement, reflexes and stamina. coming in slow and sluggish vs. a fast, slick fighter like mayweather will be disastrous for him.

Yep cause he's already the slower man. Trying not to match size but to keep some of his mobility and speed will be key.

It also will matter how Floyds feet will look in this fight. Cause in his last two fights he hugged the ropes alot. Now I don't know if that is age catching up or purely strategy.

i think its a little bit of both, he did try and set hatton up on the ropes and counter a lot....i think marquez will come hungry but will be takin out of his game, when he has to become the agressor and engage floyd, i see a KO win for floyd probably anywhere from 8 on

I think Marquez can be patient enough to wait on Floyd. But a KO is definitely possible seeing that both Diaz and Casa both had Marquez hurt 10 lbs south of this fight.

It doesnt matter if Marquez was naturally bigger he'd still lose

That's what I'm thinking too, even though Marquez will have his moments the power will be hard for him to handle especially with Mayweather's speed.

That's one hell of an observation there.

Yea we'll see. But if two lesser fighters can catch up to him I don't see how Floyd won't if things get heated.

I see Floyd jabbing Marquez, and Marquez giving Floyd problems early until he is solved. The weight gain is going to help Marquez tremendously, but Floyd is just too defensive for Marquez.

Tell me how the weight can honestly help? When he already looked slower at 135.

No he isn't. This is just a glorified tune up. I think people are grasping at straws thinking this will be a tough fight for Floyd IMO. I hope I'm proven wrong but I don't see it happening.
