Valuev shows us that you don't need speed, power, or stamina if you want to be a championship beltholder. You just need a scumbag promoter like Don King to pay off the WBA judges.

Man you got chins on the brain :patsch

Some one needs to get you a chinese phone directory and you will be in your element:patsch

Anyway you left out the most important attribute that all atg have, the one think that sets atg apart from other fighters.

    You're underrating power.

There are a lot of guys that only have power that make it pretty far in the game.

It's when you have power and skills like Wlad for instance, where you can elevate to the next level and become champ.

Sure but power is often very overrated. Lots of guys can punch but can't do anything else. Not to mention when you get to the elites I;ve seen guys with great power not land and be handed a boxing lesson.

Alas someone who agrees with me! Said that a couple of posts back and frankly I was shocked no-one else had mentioned it.

The most important characteristic for a boxer to have is good reflexes.Without them, there is nothing else.

I didn't say his resume was close to SRR, he is in my top 3. I didn't say it's close to Ali's, he I have around 10-11. I didn't say it's close to SRL's, who I have around #14-15. So he's below all of those.

What he did was win titles from MW to HW, destroy guys in great style, he had speed, power and reflexes and could box. He ranks superbly H2H, I mean how do you beat a guy who you can't hit but can hit you with 5 left hooks in 1 second or a powerful 1-2 in less than one second?

There are other things to take into account in P4P ATG lists than just simply resume, because a lot of guys get avoided and you have to take that into account - not suggesting Roy was one of those guys before anybody starts - other factors such as H2H performance, achievement etc.

Hatton had strength but unimpressive power. Strength usually refers to being able to physically impose on an opponent, often to wear them down, create space, tie them up. Power refers to knockout ability. George Foreman had a shitload of both

Don't know if it's been mentioned but Ring IQ should be up there. Otherwise, Ali's second, post Foreman career would have floundered but he was such a smart mother****er who could outthink almost anyone
