Why is Pacquiao so popular in the US and the Klit brothers aren't?

    It used to be that to be popular in America you have to be either American or at least be able to speak English. Most of the foreign superstars also reside in the US. Lots of people say that this is the reason why the Clit brothers aren't popular here. On the other hand, Manny isn't American and doesn't speak English either....but for some reason he is becoming the most popular fighter in the US. Both Vlad and Vitali are ko artists, so to say that their style is the reason doesn't seem credible. Everytime those two guys fight you can always expect a knockout.

    Simple...Pacquiao is a ball of Philipino energy. He is a total animal in the ring.

    Pacquiao's style of fighting, his opponents and just everything. The Klitschkos never had a Morales, Barrera, Hatton, Marquez to deal with. You need a great opponent to prove your greatness and the Klitschkos are just unlucky with how pathetic the division is.

    Manny has a made for TV style and an engaging personality. Vitali has the style to be popular over here, but his inactivity and inability to corral Lennox into a rematch definitely hurt his marketability.

    But the thread title is an overstatement. The Klitschkos do have their share of American fans.

    Are you kidding me with this thread? It's as if you've never seen any of the fighters fight before..

    I don't think I've ever watched a boring Pacquaio fight. In comparison, the Klit bros are boring as ****.

    Because Pacquiao is exciting to watch and doesn't shirk a challenge. He also doesn't sit behind pointless mandatories for years on end, either.

    Pacquiao is 20 times better than both Klitschkos put together.

    Why is Roger Federer popular everywhere while noone could care less about Tommy Haas? Why is Michael Jordon so popular in Japan and not Steve Kerr?

    Wlad has been on HBO 16 times. I would not say he is not popular. People have opinions on if he is boring or not and that is fine. To the idiot that said Vitali is a boring fighter you are clueless I am not sure he has ever been in a boring fight.

    I totatlly agree. The heavy weight division is just pathetic! Most of the action is at the lower weight division and Pacquiao is the most exciting boxer right now.

    PAC is more exciting...there is more drama when he fights and Wald is now a safety first fighter. He's intelligent but that doesn't always transalate into excitement. I like Vits style...its far more exciting than Walds....PAC fights in the states far more than The Klit bro which is anther reason why PAC is more popular.
