I wondered how the judges were scoring it. In some respects it reminded me of the first Pavlik/Taylor fight. Jermain got credit for flash while Kelly was doing the damage. In the end the damage won.

I have no clue. I'm saying that is the only reason I would see this fight happening. Loew said no more weight class jumping. So, IF Froch still has the belt AND Kelly is ready to move up, the fight happens. That way he can move up and still have a title.

Thats fair comment, but some could argue the G.O.A.T was being handed his ass on a plate until big George gassed and Ali caught him with a lucky punch ????????
    Worlds apart,but same scenario.:good

Yeah AA seem in a tiny and hermetic euro boxing sphere, like many euro champ. I really follow boxing but each time he fight a guy I don't even know...:huh

Pavlik and Froch are in no way similar. The only trait they have in common is both have an enormous will to win.

Stylistically they are as different as night and day, and styles DO make fights. Stylistically Pavlik has pretty much EVERY advantage you could have. Froch is so easy to hit Stevie Wonder could connect 40%. Pavlik is very accurate. Froch does not have a high work rate. Pavlik holds a career average of about 80 punches per round. Froch gives up his height buy keeping his feet to far apart. Pavlik fights tall and uses his height/reach to the fullest advantage. I could go on and on, but I trust you get my point.

Rounds 1-3, Pavlik hurts Froch multiple times, and puts him on the back foot.

Rounds 4-6, Pavlik stands Froch on his head, beats seven shades of **** out of him.

Round 7, a battered and bloody Froch gamely answers the bell, but he has no answers. Pavlik traps him on the ropes, and finishes him (unless McKracken throws in the towel.)

I can only repeat what I hear. The weight issue has lessened as Kelly has the 'routine' down now. Other than that, there is evidence he put his foot down with Top Rank and wants to fight better competition. That isn't at 160 after Sturm/Abraham (who really ought to be fighting each other FIRST).

pipe i cant see it being any different...on top of that, froch seems to stick his chin out farther than jt does/did in that first pav fight. its going to be very hard for pav to miss a power shot. this would be action all the way and i would love to see it.

how's that west by god summer treatin ya up there??

You make it sound like he is avoiding fighting the best.
    Sturm wants none
Pavlik wants the fight, cant say the same about his promoters.
Paul Williams is the most avoided man, but if he gets KTFO, AA beats a 147-154 pounder wants no credit?
So you tell me, what is left?:huh
Exactly, move up to 168, where I think he will be a real player.

Exactly -- and all this crap about Arum or KP avoiding Abraham is utter non sense. Arum has ask Sauerland to do one thing: Build Arbraham's profile in the USA. People who say Sauerland shouldn't have to do that are crazy. How the **** are you going to pay for the fight if the average fan still has no clue who Abraham is? Sauerland has made almost no effort to bring AA over here. Twenty minutes on Showtime just doesn't cut it.

Abraham could have fought Zuniga when Fulgencio was fresh off his win over Oganov. Instead, he fought Elvin Ayala.

Abraham could have fought Winky, a guy KP spent years trying to get in the ring. Instead, he fought the great LuJaun Simon.

What is AA doing now? Is he after Paul Williams? Maybe take that fight with Winky? Force Pavlik's hand by dropping his title and taking a fight with Karmazin, who called him out, to become Kelly's mandatory? Hell no! He's fighting #29 ranked Maher Oral.

I understand Showtime plans to air Abraham/Oral. I just hope nobody televises Abraham/Anal!

AA's height and reach will come into play at 168. And that is not good for him.

His power will make up for his deficiencies, mike tyson was not a 7 footer if I recall.
