Why is Pacquiao so popular in the US and the Klit brothers aren't?

Because Pacquiao has beat more fighters that are really popular in America. It's that simple.

Seriously? Even if Wlad does KO a lot of his opponents, even if he does usually dominate, he doesn't fight in a way that enthralls people. The casual fan sees a guy THAT much bigger than his opponent, with obvious size and strength advantages, they usually want to see that guy destroy his opponents. But Wlad fights in a safety first style even when his opponent is offering nothing back in return. That's precisely why when Wlad was up something like 10 rounds to 0 against Sultan in a packed Madison Square Garden fight a few years back, Manny Steward was imploring Wlad to get that bum out of there and make an impression on those fans, give them an exciting and explosive KO finish to make them forget they saw a boring fight. And Wlad was and still is absolutely perplexed as to why his manager was telling him to close a show he'd already dominated to that point.

I'm not a fan of Wlad the boxer, but even his biggest critics have to admit he's an intelligent person. He fights in a very European amateur style, where you win points and win rounds and thus, win the fight. That is how a boxer wins fights, but it usually is not how a boxer makes fans. He's a great draw in Germany where he can do no wrong and those fans leave the arena happy if Wlad wins. Successful business. That makes the current Wlad fans happy, but it doesn't make people sit up and take notice and make absoltuely certain they won't miss him the next time he fights.

Pacquiao on the other hand, I've shown Pacquiao fights to several non-fans and they almost always ask me about when he's fighting next, because he's exciting to watch.

All are good boxers but the the Klitschko brothers have the misfortune of being in a division full of scrubs. They can beat all the contenders in there right now and still not get the same recognition as Pac.

Not saying guys like Povetkin, Chagaev, and Haye are garbage but quality fighters in the heavies are few and far between while pac has a myriad of choices for opponents.

pacman is one of the most popular and remarkable fighter in US.
    even more than americans.
but maybe klitschkos are more popular than pacman in former soviet countries.
popularity depends on where the boxer comes from and base on.
pacman always fights in US but klitschkos don't do that.
    they take opponents to german.
