going by the records this one sems a bit of a mismatch

 

Luis Ramos I believe is a member of the Espinoza boxing club. FrankieJ a poster here with ties to Espinoza posts about him a few times.


18-16-2 Baudel Cardenas vs 10-0 5 KOs Luis Ramos.

Ramos moving well with sharp punches. Good straight right hand but a bit of a strange looking upper cut. NICE sharp body punches from Ramos as Cardenas is holding on a bit. Cardenas has shorter punches though which is good for him. Ramos moving well with a nasty right hook to boot. Cardenas already laying on the ropes as a STRAIGHT left to the body puts Cardenas down! Cardenas is up but you dont instantly recover from a punch like that. Ramos very patient now as Cardenas is holding on. Ramos has good hooks but that uppercut needs some work. Another body punch JUUUST out of range from Ramos. Round ends as Ramos just took that round with ease.

 

Watching that body punch, It reminded me a lot of Erik Morales vs Daniel Zaragosa.

Ramos' body work is very good but Cardenas is happy to hold and slow dance his way through this. Ramos may have been a bit too patient during that round. If he put a little more heat on Cardenas, he would've had this fight over with. I still like what I see from the kid.

 

Cardenas is getting beat up from a distance, beat up close, beat to the body, beat to the head the guy just is getting ****ed up. Ramos' body work is good and Cardenas is trying to come back. The combinations from Ramos are thudding to say the least. Cardenas is enjoying his holding strategy but occasionaly he does break out of his shell to fight. Cardenas and Ramos trade hooks and Ramos' is better. Ramos shows some defensive manueverability by moving his head to evade some combinations. Another VERY pro Ramos round. The kid is alright.

it must've taken alot for Cardena to get up from that body shot..he'll be feeling that one for a few days.

 

I don't know if it's my stream but occasionally one of the commentators seems to lost in the crowd noise (not that I don't mind not hearing Doug Fisher of course) it's just odd.
