what did you guys think of the brand new show on the vs network....

i thought it was quality, doug fisher is a great commentator and knows his **** really good....you can tell he dont just watch boxing, he studies it....hopkins was kind of weak though, he said the same thing about every fighter "he has the potential to be the next oscar de la hoya":lol: i think he even said that about the losers too :rofl:rofl

the production and settings were also great, it looks like this show is gonna have some great action...oscar promised a 1k bonus for the most exciting fight, and you best believe every fight was great, even the 4 rounder...

and the fighters, wow...these kids looked pretty damn ****en good....ricky lopez looks explosive, but seriously, he needs to find his jab.....

huerta looked really good, and actually did better in the slug fest, even though he looks like a pure boxer....

luis ramos looked great too, i saw him live about a year ago and he's matured a lot...you can tell they are really investing in this kid BIGTIME....

My dude David, Glad to see him back in the ring. Cool guy.
During his down time he helped train kids over @ the Oxnard PAL.

Solid card and a well put together show. I'm looking forward to seeing the next broadcast in July.

I thought it was good introduction. It felt a bit like an amateur night contest with some of the fights featuring undefeated guys winging it out in a slugfest. Very fun stuff to say the least. I also liked the FOTN bonus which makes for good TV.

Which is good. Look at it like this, if the kids go out and have exciting fights then they become more marketable. If they become more marketable they set themselves up for paydays bigger than that 1K fight bonus.

That card validated my theory that it does not take great fighters to make great fights. It just takes good match making.

That Ricky Lopez kid looks like he is about 12 years old. Hard to say at this point, but he might be the real deal. He just needs a good jab.

same **** i said...his accuracy with that "one shot" is ****en amazing......his man was tall as ****, pretty awkward and he was still landing that all night.....a nice double jab would set that **** up hell nice, he might even look like jmm doing it :hey

Ricky Lopez pulled some real veteran moves in there. I can't remember which round it was, but at one point he came forward with a 1-2, and then let his momentum carry his head right into that other dude's chin. I'm not saying I approve of such tactics, but it made me go -- DAMN!:think

Lopez looked impressive. Charles Huerta and Luis Ramos looked great. Huerta's counter hook was a thing of beauty and that's the sort of punch that can take a guy far if he perfects it. It was so crisp and on he mark, It's hard to fault a punch like that.

did you see when huerta stepped in with his right hook.....that took the "check hook" to a whole new level....i mean, it's easy to get'em while they're coming in, but huerta stepped in and landed it :rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl

I thought it was great. Really a new take on boxing shows, featuring prospects early in the careers in 6 or 4 rounders. I think it's a GREAT idea!!
