Dawson deserves a lot of credit for giving Johnson a rematch!

That's what good guys do, listening to fan demand and trying to erase bad memories. Many of us thought Johnson deverved a razor thin decision vs. Dawson, who instead of facing Mr. Johnson again, opted to do a pair of fights vs. Tarver.

But now he's giving the rematch Glen, one of the nicest boxing person out there, truly deserves, and Good Chad deserves a lot of credit for that.

I'm even going to say that's a courageous move, because he didn't look as good in the 2nd Tarver fight as in the 1st, and you really don't want to look worse in the Johnson rematch - because that means defeat.

    Mr. Dawson, RESPECT! :happy

Seeing as how quite a few people here are already bitching about him "ducking" Cloud tot ake this fight, I'm not so certain he'll ever get it.

Alright but he's fighting him. You can place the onus on whoever you wish but at the end of the day, Dawson is fighting the only guy who came close to beating him. Good fight IMO.

Some investigative reporter should do a story on how much influence HBO has within boxing. Because at present they are pulling many strings.

Yeah, let's insult an American fighter for avenging a minorly controversial victory to erase all doubt about who the better fighter is! Way to go Champ! :good

Good thing he did, Johnson has been bringing this up so many times he had no other choice but to give him a rematch already. Hopefully Johnson is convinced of the result this time around and we can move on to better fights from there.

I'm not having any problems with who Dawson is fighting.... not yet anyway.

I still recall when Tarver originally ****ed the LHW division by entering into a circlejerk of fighting RJJ and Johnson, a merry go round of gayness that lasted several years - and from which the LHW division has never recovered.

Dawson is looking awfully like he is going down the same track. If he sticks as LHW then he needs to fight different fighters, really smack down on all contenders at that division. He can fight more often, clear out the division and his stock will rise no matter what anyone thinks. Being king of a division looks good to people, even if that division is lacking in depth. As long as it is marketed right.
Then he will be the one calling the shots, and people will come knocking on his door.

Or he can drop down to supermiddle right now and get into big fights straight away.

Right now I am a Dawson fan. If he fights a third fight with Tarver or Johnson then I will no longer be a Dawson fan.
