I think that Clottey will win a narrow, but unanimous decision over Clottey if he stays on his feet meaning that he is not knocked down in this fight. Cotto's punch output might just be enough to catch the judges eyes in this fight. I don't expect him to hit Clottey a lot, but I expect him to be a bit busier than Clottey.

Cotto will have the N.Y crowd in his back pocket, and he imo has learned from his loss to AM. Clottey has a good jab, and puts on good pressure with defense, but I don't think he has the offensive arsenal to pick apart Cotto. Clottey has the power to hurt him, but Cotto's people will say move to your left(Clottey's right), or stand your ground and use your jab and stay center ring.

The Cotto jab is a plus if he can land it, but I don't expect it to land a lot. Cotto holds his head down, and is hard to hit center ring, so Clottey's work has to be on the ropes, or his jab has to work over time. Clottey can box also which is a very underrated part of his game, but he gets lazy at times, and has fragile hands. Both fighters right hands are weak imo. Both hae common opponents in that both beat Judah, and both lost to AM. Who did better between the two? Doesn't matter although I thought Clottey beat AM.

Maybe Clottey being a new champion might motivate him to stay champ. We will see if Clottey can land the jab/uppercut like AM did. Center ring I like Cotto, on the ropes...I like Clottey. Clottey will have to use his pressure, his jab, and left hook to the body for the entire fight, and he will have to use heavy pressure to keep Cotto on the defensive. Cotto has to stay off he ropes, use his jab, pick his openings which will be far and few, attempt body shots, and use the ring, or stay center ring.

I like Cotto in a tough, but close fight because he is the smarter boxer. Again, I will not be surprised in the least if Clottey wisn the way I the way I said Cotto should win lol. Sometimes that happens...you expect one guy to fight this way, and the other guy fights that way. Clottey can very well be undefeated. The scoring of the AM fight was dubious, and did Clottey reallly lose to Badomir? Cotto 115-113 UD.

**** the haters. I like reading your predictions b/c you at least analyze how you see the fight going based on the fighters ability, not whose nutsack is the closest to your tonsils...:good

    That being said...Clottey UD.

Even though I picked Cotto, I'm rooting for Clottey too lol... I just hope Clottey fights up to his potential for the full 12.

Cotto should pull this one off unless of course clotty shows he's more than just one dimensional then clotty should win a split decision. If cotto fights with lateral movement he'll out point clotty. Clotty does have great countering skills and once he hurts cotto he will most likey stop him. Cotto will go to the body and tire clotty who has a tendency to fade and finish out the championship rounds, clotty should attack early and often build up the points so he's not screwed by the judges :0 lmfao! Fuk off *****.
