Who thinks Cotto will win by body shot stoppage ?

nope, clottey is a bit chinny he relies too much on his shell defense.....cotto will test the chin....and clottey will fold late.

 

Everyone is counting on Clottey pressuring Cotto and turning this into a rough and tumble fight like the Margo fight, but when clottey comes straight forward he doesn't do so throwing a ton of punches. He also only ahs one stoppage in five years which doesn't scream power. While I think he is a tough fighter i dont think he offers the same attributes margo did and I think he will be out boxed pretty decisively. I don't necessarily see a stoppage either way, but I think it would be a more likely scenario that Cotto stops Clottey than the alternative. If it does happen it would most likely be a shot to the body as Clottey has a sound chin.

 

Never actually seen Clottey looking chinny but he isn't someone I've watched that much of. I can see Cotto outboxing him and just settling for a comfortable decision. I could be wrong but I still don't expect Cottos confidence to be 100% yet after the Margarito fight and I can see him being quite cautious and making sure he lasts the distance this time.

When have you ever seen Clottey dazed? This is easily one of the stupidest posts I've ver read about Clottey. You obviously have never seen much of him.

its almost impossible to pick a big fight to end by stoppage, much less by a certain punch....maybe you can pick the round too and really make this thread stupid

 

Baldomir hit him with on of the cleanest shots you can hit someone with. That same punch would have stopped Cotto dead.


One ****in ounch his whole career. And he didn't seem very hurt. HE just backed up on the ropes, ducked a few punches and went back to whippin Baldi's ass.

Clottey is hard to hit to the body and looks to punish Cotto himself. I think Clottey has a better chance doing damage via body shots, but I don't see that type of punch deciding the fight.

even if cotto cant connect to the body he will still be able to score upstairs..... not all the punches thrown upstairs will connect but it gives the judges sumting to score

 

When you hang yourself tonight when Cotto wins tonight be sure to have a spotter so you can at least do it right. Dont forget to leave a note to Williams saying: "Mi amor extranare tus besos en la noche."
