Good point about the nostalgia, but I can't blame anyone for thinking Foster would finish Joe with his freakish reach and power.

 

I'm not saying Calzaghe fought like Leonard, but he would try to take the role of Leonard by using his speed style the way Leonard fought Hearns. I'm thinking Foster would of probably knocked out Joe but I rate Calzaghe highly still and think if there was one Super middle that could beat him then Joe could.

 

I want my perception of the result challenged. I'd love someone to conince me otherwise. It's also an interesting match up.

Calzaghe wouldnt have got out of the 1st round againjst Jones if he could still punch/wasnt shot....never mind lasting 1 rnd with foster.

 

How can you say Jones couldn't punch when he floored Calzaghe like that? He was clearly past his best but that punch would of knocked out almost any Light heavyweight around!
