Just checked out the current WBO super-middleweight title holder Karoly Balzsay on youtube. He looks pretty handy!!

Bute, Froch, Balzsay all undefeated champions what a division.

I like him but it's hard to see him lasting as champion for long in such a loaded division!!!

This guy will hide away, being abused by his (no doubt) german promoters until he is exposed.

The WBO is the title to have if you want a protected reign.

Fast, skilled, powerful southpaw with good defense, but needs to bounce more on his feet to get in and out of range quicker, his current footwork is limiting his offense. To have a good chance vs. the elite, he also needs to work on his stamina and output. Still a tough challenge for any elite fighter with relatively low reward.

Universum can't keep him in the dark for too long, too many fighters are demanding a shot at the current belt holders, so IMO we'll see him in another top10 fight, with Showtime broadcasting hopefully, the network is into the SMW division bigtime.

If I'm not mistaken, he's the beltholder being targeted by rising contenders Ward and Dirrell. I personally haven't seen much of Balzsay, but anyone who hasn't will find out alot about him when one of those fights goes down.

Ottke was a disgrace...and held the WBO SM title for years hiding in germany and so Slapzaghe...

Looking at the wbo rankings, looks like Jean Paul Mendy is next

His next opponent seems to be the German-Russian Stieglitz.
Balzsay beat Inkin in a very close fight.Stieglitz is a very decent fighter. The Hungarian will have to show a good performance to defeat him.
I guess there will be a rematch with his stable mate Inkin soon.
As for his skills he can compete with most of his rivals at supermiddle, but he isnt an outstanding new champ or something like this.
Froch,Balszay,Inkin,Andrade, and so on they all play in the same league.

Ottke never held the WBO title. He had mostly IBF defences.

This guy sounds awfully like another Hungarian titlist..Talented, well schooled and took the title off a decent fighter...look how that went though.

They make decent money and get good crowds in Germany, why travel to America?

Dzinziruk, Erdie, Balzsay are all class acts.
