More do or die for Clottey than Cotto, Clottey had his shot before against Margarito and ended up losing with a hand injury excuse so this is his last shot at the big time, if he loses he's out of the picture. Cotto still has a lot of backing, if he loses he still has options open and a rematch with Mosley isn't out of the question.

Tonight will answer the questions of wether Cotto has mentally recovered from the Margo fight personally i think Cotto is a very strong mental fighter and the bull**** on this board of him "quitting" against margo was out of order, He fought the wrong fight and really his style doesnt mesh well with Margos. Cotto will win by UD he may even stop Clottey.

lol hell no.. cotto is still under 30. He can still fight. He only loss once and that was against margarito. The loss is even questionable now since margarito was caught cheating vs mosley.

It's not like cotto is fighting a bum. Clottey is pretty good and is a title holder. It will hurt cotto if he loses this fight but it's not the end for him.

It's a do or die fight for both men. Both have the opportunity to establish themselves as the best in the division and the legitimate contender to Sugar Shane Mosley.

It aint a do or die for cotto. Even if cotto loses this fight he can still get big fights in the future. He does own a W against mosley and i know mosley would love to fight cotto again.

An observation watching some Cotto's training video and his interview looks to me he trains on his own pace with a bunch of groupies playing salsa music, very robotic almost boring instead of finding a real trainer and move his camp to a high altitude to gain more stamina. Any pressure fighter could undue him he doesn't fight well going back. I like Cotto but he needs a real trainer who could push him to the limits. Good luck tonight he will need it.

A loss always hurts but it's not "die", the guy still has a win over Mosley and a rematch is always open, that includes a rematch with Clottey. If Clottey loses will they bother to give him a rematch?, he will have to go through HELL to get a big fight again.

If Cotto loses to Clottey the inevitable Margarito loaded gloves excuses will create a forced agenda that Cotto is damaged goods automatically. Cotto's fans will find themselves grouped together with Cotto's haters. That's how they set it up.

Interesting point, although Cotto has always looked that way on media days. It's safe to assume he pushes a little harder than that without the photogs present. Cotto has had problems seemingly related to what you're suggesting though, so it is curious. Whenever you see most any other fighter in footage like that you get the sense that the trainer is in control. With Cotto it seems like he's the one in control, but his situation has been more complicated.

Good points ..... And I don't seriously believe Jennings was a good gauge of Cotto's recovery. I do believe that Cotto will be hurt more than Clottey with a lost, because he is supposed to win ... It is expected. And if Cotto fails :-( A lot of doubt will surface. Clottey on the other hand, is not out of the mix with a lost, because he hasn't been mainstreamed. Many don't even know who Clottey is ... So it will be easier to recover from a lost.

Cotto is mainstream and any result win or lose will be amplified ten fold, because he is COTTO!!!!
