ivan doesn't wow me. His style is flat out running and puerto rico fans who praises ivan have the nerve to say floyd runs. Only reason i watch ivan's fight is to see him get stopped. Too many gift decision and extremely overated.

Calderon wasn't gifted. The spread is to be expected, all the cards are perfectly reasonable. The fight wasn't decided, so the judges had it even. About right.

I think he had a real chance, but Calderon knows how he moves now...i don't think it will ever be pretty, but I would expect Calderon to get across the line in a rematch barring accidents.

    Any reason for the favouritism?

Not surprised. Like I said before the fight. Careers at small weight are not very long. And we all know Calderon is a very small 105lb fighting at 108lbs. He could easily be a good jockey

Exactamente Ricky...At those weights boxers dont last that long therefore they have to make the best of it. I dont blame him one bit for fighting the way he does you know. I didnt see this fight but I can close my eyes and imagine how it went. Ivan would had probably done better a riding bestias at the Comandante!!!! jaja

But regardless Ivan gets props from me just for going into the ring and putting his life on the line for the sake of the sport....

Enjoy his style..felt he would have made a more exciting and interesting champ because of his youth and power.

His fight with Eagle Den Junlaphan (then Kyowa) is one of the hidden gems of 2006.
