You talking crap about "Cotto fighting the wrong fight". The moment you get headbutted, and the blood starts seeping into your eye (as the footage clearly shows) Miguel made the right adjustments late on. If he had engaged Clottey he would have walked onto those right hands he couldn't see.

Seemed to be moving around perfectly fine. Hit without being hit doesn't equal to running.

I'm not talking crap you ****ing idiot! I was simply pointing out a flaw in his gameplan. I'm not trashing Cotto at all in this fight beacuse I'm a fan of the guy. He adjusted well, I won't argue with you on that.

Yeesh! Get over it buddy.... does Cotto happen to be related to you or something?!

The double standards on this forum is sickening. Cotto is getting criticized for not outclassing Clottey, basically. How can you dominate at the highest level with only one eye? He started to get on his bike once the blood started impairing his vision, and had he not been on the backfoot, he would have ran into so many right hands until eventually being knocked out.

Miguel got the decision in a fight that could have gone either way, and he did it going through advertsity. This should raise Cotto's stock, if anything.

No there is more honor in getting knocked out then fighting smart and winning the fight. Don't you know that?

Yep, with one eye, and two blind judges.

Don't try and fit me into a stereotype, J.R

My history on this forum has no indication of me supporting Cotto. One of my fondest memories was Margarito getting the win against him.

I'm a fight fan, first and foremost, and the amount of flack Cotto is getting is ridiculous if not typical of the General Forum. He had one eye, that's not up for debate, and yet he's supposed to operate at his peak despite this? :verysad

To be perfectly honest Clottey won that fight clearly. Cotto fought a courageous fight be he clearly lost it. Do you honestly believe that Cotto would have won that fight anywhere else or with more experience judges?

    I disagree.

Clottey took his foot off the pedal, and I think I had Cotto winning 3 of the last 4 rounds based on clean punching.

One eye or whatever the fight just didn't impress me, both guys were terrible and Clottey was everything I said he was going to be, a half decent fighter who doesn't have a champion's stamina. He could have finished Cotto off if he wanted but can't keep the punches up. Cotto seemed like he wanted to quit from the cut early on and Clottey didn't bite. Both weren't impressive and Cotto is actually serious about wanting Pacquiao?, I would pick Margarito to KO him in a rematch.

When a warrior boxes, he's selling out. When a boxer becomes a warrior, he's fading.

    The things we learn here.

Cotto wanting to quit? He told the ring doctor a bare faced lie just so the fight wasn't stopped. I won't judge Cotto as a fighter on this performance, because I had eyes and I know if I had to fight a guy like Clottey with only one of them, I'd have looked twice as bad as Cotto did.
