Tired of all the idiots disrespecting one guy or the other! I thought it was a decent fight. It had the potential to be a good war untill the 3rd. Who did you have winning the fight? What do you think about the way cotto adapted to the cut??? Why wasn't Clottey more aggresive??? I should probably wait untill tommorow to post this, when the idiots start sleeping off their hangovers! Do you want a rematch???

Very close fight, had it 114-113 for clottey, I don't agree with the other scores but accept the SD.

:bbb A rematch would clear things up, so i'm all for it.

The 2 point first round was a huge difference maker. The rounds that Clottey won, he won big, but the swing rounds were marred with too much inactivity to make a convincing case that he should have won the fight. Cotto showed a ton of heart continuing the fight with such a nasty cut for so long. When Cotto worked the jab and stayed on his toes, he was domintating the action, but when he stood in front of Clottey, he got stuffed with straight rights repeatedly. Not Cotto's best fight regardless of what HBO says, but a good example of his warrior spirit.

I had it 114-113 Cotto, but agree it was close. Had Clottey been more aggresive especially late he could have erased any doubt. I will agree a rematch would be nice, but most likely Cotto is on to bigger paydays and Clottey will be left as a dangerous opponent that will be seen as high risk low reward for the bigger names..Unfortunately!

Good post! Clottey looked to be able to take control and for whatever reason he did not capitilize. I am not certain that Cotto backs up that often if he is not cut...totally different fight if the happen to get it on again (which I doubt!)

I thought Clottey won, but tomorrow i will watch the replay and play judge, i thought it was a great fight, in the late fight i thought Clottey was gonna stop Cotto ala Margarito but Cotto showed a lot of heart tho

I had it a draw. Clottey landed the cleaner shots but when you seem happy to go to the ropes and let your opponent fire into you, and stalk without throwing shots, youre asking for trouble.

Yeah, around late 8 or 9 I was wondering if cotto would last. I never thought I would think that during this fight though. Preety good performance (not great) by both guys

Same here.....I'm so sick of people who feel to the need to denigrate one fighter to prop up another. Both guys fought through adversity and earned my utmost respect.

As for Clottey, I was shocked and suprised he didn't step up the pressure in the championship rounds especially knowing Miguel scored that first round knockdown. Maybe he felt he had enough rounds in the bank. With his accurate jab, he should had a bullseye on the cut over Cotto's eye.

It was close but that first round knockdown made all the difference in the world

Cotto did impress me by workin' through the cut.

Clottey coulda made a huge diff. by bein' more active in the last 2.

And yes I'd like a rematch.
