115-112 cotto, will watch it again tmoro to score it once more but round 1,3,4,5,6,11,12 were cotto rounds, where as rounds 2,7,8,9,10, where clotteys.

114-113 Clottey (7-5 + KD)
Once he got KD, I knew it was gonna cost him the fight.
(No chance of a decision in NY)

Clottey won the fight by 2 rounds. So 114-113. I fail to see how you could give Cotto 8 rounds when he was outlanded by 50 punches, many of them visible head rocking shots.

 

Round 8 was an even round before Clottey decided to lay on the ropes for 10 seconds and got hit 14 times .

 

Rounds 1, 4, 6, 11, & 12 were clear for Cotto. I gave round 3 to Cotto but it could have gone ether way.

Rounds 2, 5, 7, 8, & 9 were clear for Clottey. Round 10 could have gone either way but I scored it for Clottey.

Rounds 2, 3, 5, 7, and 8 for Clottey

Rounds 4 and 9 were extremely close so I scored them even.

5 rounds a piece, two even rounds, but the knockdown was the difference on my card......115-114 Cotto.



I thought Clottey was in control for most of the fight, but he let up in the championship rounds as has become his custom.........Cotto took the last 3 rounds on my card just scoring enough clean shots to eek them out......

Had Clottey applied more pressue down the stretch and not been so conservative, he'd have won clearly imo.

Got to hand it to Cotto to fight through while being visually impaired......blood was shooting into his eye and you just have to commend the man for staying calm and focused despite a bad cut.

 

I had it clearly for Cotto, on reflection 115-112 seems fair.

 

I actually scored the fight 116-111 for Cotto. IMO Cotto won rounds 1-6,11 and 12.

Clottey won rounds 7-10.

Even tho my score was pretty wide the fight was a lot closer

BTW I saw the fight on BOX AZTECA(mexican channel) and the guy keepng score had it 115-112.
