Frankly, it is my opinion that the cut was the type that deserved an early stoppage. I bet he gets stitches tonight. It was clearly from a headbutt. Cotto couldnt see for many rounds from his left eye. It was a bloodbath mnay rds. When the fight was over the gash was a CLEAR 1/2 INCH IN width, it was grotesque. I dont see how they let the fight go on, yet you didnt hear the dr or ref talking about it much, maybe I didnt see them, but IMO it was a disservice to cotto. The cut greatly affected his performance and was a huge advantage for Clottey.
I had just the opposite thought. He looked really inexperienced and slow. Didnt use enough pressure, not enough coagulant and wasnt aggressive enough overall
Maybe it's just me, Dude? But for the size of that ****er it rilly shoulda bleed alot worse than it did.
I expected a stoppage from the dr. It wasnt a small cut, it was deep and wide and long. It affected his vision, it was going into his eyes. It was gushing at points, just streaming!
