umm yeah... it was a close fight, i wouldn't knock anyone who thinks Clottey won. I think Cotto won and it's Clottey's fault for not taking charge of the fight when he obviously could have, and letting Cotto back into it. Saying this fight was a robbery is plain ******ed.
Yeah, I had it 115-112 for Cotto. I think Cotto could have stopped Clottey on the rope a couple of times if he had continued to pummel him. The first round 10-8 round helped a lot, but on my card I thought Cotto won ever without the 10-8 round. If not for the cut, Cotto would have on even bigger, perhaps a TKO or KO.
its not an excuse. the only reason i say that is because all the cotto haters/clottey fans are saying clottey had a bum ****in knee the whole fight! my point is cotto's a warrior and i dont understand how a true boxing fan could hate on him. he fought a good fight tonight and won despite a ****ed up injury, but he gets no credit from quite a lot of people on this board and it pisses me off... if you couldnt tell.
There are far more people on here that have some Lampley style man-love for a specific boxer than there are boxing fans.
Stick to being a horrible scorer in boxing and giving the wrong guy the "W." That's about the only thing you are good at. :yep
