Thats boxing fool! and its smart boxing. Being mobile to avoid punches and picking your punches so they count is the main objective of boxing. They are in a roped off ring...where can they run to? ****ing idiot...

Because he thought about and threw a punch at the back of his opponent's head and then hit him with a deliberate (IMO) low blow, what, like 30 seconds later? F*ck Cotto and that BS. His bicycle/track runner stuff was enough in the Mosley fight, but for him to get this decision after that crap and his "posing/running" routine vs Clottey was too much.

That's why Clottey was so upset after the fight, and there was ass*ole Lampley talking to Clottey about what he supposedly didn't do in the last two rounds, even though he landed 50 more punches.

This stuff kills the game; it's bad for the sport.

I used to love Chavez. But I groaned when he 'drew' with Whitaker. Because it's bad for the sport.

You have to look beyond just the fighter you like.

I think the bodyslam was more to do with frustration. As for the hit behind the head- it was accidental IMO as Clottey turned his back. When they were trading inside it was only at matter of time before someone hit low as well. I think any suggestion that Miguel is a dirty fighter is downright misplaced.

It's running. It sure as heck isn't effective aggression, and you can't reward the guy who doesn't want to make the fight.

    It's extraordinary, really.

There's definitely a case for scoring the fight for Clottey, but shouts of "robbery" and losing all respect for those involved...seems ****ing strange.

His 'running' was tactical; he felt he would reserve more energy and be bale to counter better by leaving Clottey come to him!

Cotto won that fight, he showed more of what a fighter should be and should do than Clottey.

Chavez- Whitaker was not like that, in any way or form.

Anyone calling this a robbery is an idiot. That's pretty clear.

Thats weird, Ali fought a lot going backwards or "running" as have many many many many other great boxers. From the look of your posts it looks like you got a lil butt hurt because Clottey lost. Nothing more nothing less. I havent seen you say **** abot Clotteys elbows, or headbutts (which he is well known for). So well known in fact he actually said before the fight that he respected Cotto and therefore it would be a clean fight. I guess that explains the huge cut over Cottos left eye.

Tactics isn't effective aggression, not in this case. It's posing and preening for judges you feel will score for you. It's PBF BS, but not done as well.

No, Clottey landed more punches and took fewer. That's what fighters are supposed to do: Hit and not be hit.

Chavez-Whitaker was exactly like this fight in that the guy who should have won did not win. In that fight, he drew. In this fight, he lost.

I said Cotto had some of the finest timing in the game after the Mosley fight, which Cotto should have lost.

I gave him props for continuing to fight tonight, even as "Mama Lampley" was hoping to stop the fight because he thought Miguelito was up on the cards and he saw the latest HBO cash cow heading for an "L" right before his eyes.

    You were saying?

As in a Mayweather fan? Not really..has nothing to do with his style of fighting, more to do with who he picks as opponents and how he carries himself. As far as his style and talent goes, hes brilliant. Anyone who disagrees is obviously a fool and just wants to bust his nut to someone getting knocked out.
